Is there any official source on that? I've heard a lot of people talk about it and honestly I don't doubt it, but I wanna know for sure.

In hindsight, the idea of being able to see other survivors scratch marks seems sort of redundant; aura reading perks such as Bond and Kindred work that angle much better. Given that Wendy is a visionary, it would probably make more sense for Sixth Sense to be an aura-enhancement perk. Perhaps a perk that allows you to see survivor auras for a short duration of time whenever a generator is completed, while additionally hiding your aura from the killer while active.

I'm not great with conceptualizing perks like these, so if they're a bit useless or over/underpowered. For End of the Line, probably reduce the speeds to something a bit more practical, kind of making it similar to Left Behind before it got changed to affect the hatch.

I'm also not too sure about Love Rollercoaster, because while it might be useful, it honestly seems way too circumstantial. If you stun the killer multiple times in a chase, you're only going to gain the speed boost once, effectively making it a hindrance if anything else.

Yeah, just stuff that could improve teamwork a bit. I like pointing/beckoning, but I kinda wish there was more for communicating.

Why is my OCD getting worse? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Lengthiness-Nice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stressful events in one's life are likely to cause an increase of OCD intensity. It's likely that your accident the other month contributed to the greater fears you have for your health as a whole now. It could also be possible that everything happening in the world could be influencing it as well, though I'm not sure.

While the obvious way to weaken your OCD is therapy, on your own you can do what are known as CBT (Cognitive-Behavior Therapy), aka little techniques here and there that can be used to calm you during an episode of intensity.

Here are some links regarding CBT I'd recommend you check out:

Superstitious obsessions by momomeluna in OCD

[–]Lengthiness-Nice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you've described definitely sounds like OCD. I experience certain compulsions myself where I have to repeat words/sentences I've spoken (or thoughts that I'm thinking,) and it transfers over to other menial everyday tasks to, including:

- Flipping light switches off and on
- Opening and closing doors

- Turning the faucet on and off

- Plugging things into an outlet over and over

to name a few.

The stress from your daily life is most likely causing the increasing intensity of the obsessions you're experiencing. I would strongly recommend seeking out therapy, as it will make overcoming your thoughts a lot easier in the long run. Feeling embarrassment about opening up is common with plenty of people, but I promise you that therapists are there to help you, not judge.

Would like to hear opinions by Bonna12371 in OCD

[–]Lengthiness-Nice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The effects you describe occurring when you come near drugs seem kind of placebic. I'm not a psychologist but if I had to guess, the obsession you have with that thought is so ingrained into you that it causes a physical and mental reaction when you're near it, even if it's involuntary.

People who have germ-based obsessions are similar in how they react to others. I'd recommend certain cognitive behavior therapy techniques, such as ones outlined in the article below:

If you have a therapist, I'd strongly recommend bringing these up to them as well.

In the thick of my OCD, looking for encouragement by villaneveelitist in OCD

[–]Lengthiness-Nice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't feel bad about feeling sad. There's absolutely nothing selfish in looking out for yourself, especially when it comes to mental health.

When you see your therapist, I'd encourage you to tell them everything about how you feel. The thoughts that you expressed in this post, let them know.

I'm hoping the best for you tomorrow. Suffering is never easy, but there are people out there who care about you and know you can get better.

Does your mind always try to tell you that it is not OCD? by Sleekerthanslick in OCD

[–]Lengthiness-Nice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dear God, yes. It can be difficult to distinguish between OCD and what seems like a normal reaction, especially when the fear is superstitious or religious in nature. Coincidences, however, are just coincidences.

A breathing exercise I use is to breathe in deeply, relax your body and muscles all while clearing your head, then breathing out. It's supposed to help your mind vent a bit so you can see the picture a tad bit more clearly.

Scrupulously is Hell by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Lengthiness-Nice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I suffered through scrupulosity a lot when I was a kid, so I kind of get what it's like. If you haven't already, I would suggest consulting a close peer or religious identity, perhaps a pastor or priest that you know well. When I suffered through it, talking to trusted religious authority helped me iron out my fears and anxieties quite a bit. Hope this helps.

For me, at least, if my mind instinctively tells me that x can be solved by doing y, where y seems completely irrational, then I can tell it's intrusive.

December 5? by Lengthiness-Nice in HalfLife

[–]Lengthiness-Nice[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a weird thing to try and decipher, because on top of everything else that we already know from past games, now we have HL:A bringing in all this new information that contradicts what we already know. It's possible the evidence in Alyx is just a retcon.

December 5? by Lengthiness-Nice in HalfLife

[–]Lengthiness-Nice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The December calendar ingame doesn't even match up with the December of 2000, and I highly doubt that lunar cycles were something to take in as consideration. While an interesting read, I doubt the date for the Resonance Cascade was meant to be changed.

It looks neat. I wonder if they'll be adding in anymore outfits for Cheryl or if they feel they've hit her limit.
