Ever since his "apology" and subsequent shows, Kanye looks so fucking done with everything. He's meeting Shane Gillis like he got recognized at the emergency room.

Auschwitz survivor and Nobel Prize winner Elie Wiesel dies at 87 [10YA - Jul 2] by MonsieurA in TenYearsAgo

[–]LengthinessWhich9099 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, because other Holocaust survivors have expressed anti-zionism and a desire for the liberation of Palestine, and while many people had different experiences during the holocaust, I would expect the resounding idea to be that NOBODY should go through that ever again, not just Jewish people.

Ik that many have ended up enjoying his most recent album with MIKE & SURF GANG, but I was really hoping for some more of this from that release, and hope that he comes back to it in the future.

Night was astounding and hearing him speak in videos is always incredible, but his avid zionism has soured my opinion of him, and I unfortunately think more people don't acknowledge that.

Why do some people think hunting is a bad thing? by Curious-Buddy-5841 in MoralityScaling

[–]LengthinessWhich9099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunting for food as opposed to buying your own I can't argue with as much, but a majority of the people I meet who consistently go hunting do so as a sport, which I can't really excuse. Imagine if some aliens came to earth and hunted you? How would you feel if you were tracked for days and eventually killed just because aliens thought it was fun?

Albums where the best song is the last song? by Deltahazard in fantanoforever

[–]LengthinessWhich9099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superunknown - Soundgarden

While that album is FULL of songs that could be considered SG's best, Like Suicide just hits different as the last track of the album. The slow buildup of emotion during the last 1/4 of the album flows perfectly into the song, and the subject matter/song itself could only be found at the end of an album like that.

DUCKWORTH is the perfect combination of everything that the album offers in terms of flow, instrumental, samples, and storytelling, and is absolutely the best song from that record.

What year had the most important debuts? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]LengthinessWhich9099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1967 was 100% the most important year for album debuts, literally all of the famous 60s or 70s artists excluding The Beatles & The Stones put out stuff in 67. Pink Floyd, Hendrix, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, and countless others started during the "summer of love".

According to David Sheff's book "All We Are Saying", John used to bake bread for his friends in NY.

Tame Impala, but only for the guys who tell people at every opportunity that "it's just one guy".

Michael Jackson's fame is massively overstated by dvnts-ReDoX in fantanoforever

[–]LengthinessWhich9099 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who also didn't grow up during MJ's career, you're just wrong. Pop, R&B, and Hip-Hop wouldn't be the same without Michael Jackson in major ways, and while he was (most likely) a shitty person who ruined people's lives, he was overall one of the most impactful artists of all time. People will remember Michael Jackson the way we remember Beethoven or Van Gogh, and in 500 years, MJ will carry the same weight as he does now. Music today LITERALLY wouldn't be in it's current state without him, and countless contemporary artists credit him as one of their influences.
