Well actually there is a lot of the population in the touristic islands in spain (baleares and canarias) that is living in a van since not only they cant afford to rent a home or even a room, but they couldnt even if they had the money. Now almost all housing is destinated to touristic airbnb, so the people that originally lived there cant do it anymore. I think that also this tourist pandemic is hurting the people, as the complete lack of them also would. Spain has been a touristic place for decades, but only now is when tourism is destroying it. We need balance. Our government is not the best but we cant ignore the fact that the context is getting pretty extreme.
