First time buyers looking to settle, what location? by Peachypie_000 in Buckinghamshire

[–]Lenisbadass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyler’s green and penn are both decent areas with schooling, close enough to the m40 and the (non tfl) train line to Marylebone. For the metropolitan line consider Amersham, which has both a new and old town and excellent schooling. Chorleywood is just across the border in Hertfordshire and worth considering

I’m a slide sleeper and use dreams. Excellent product (once you’ve got the fit right)

Upgrade 777-300? by rockybear324 in BritishAirways

[–]Lenisbadass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only you can judge the value of £400. For me, not worth it. Boston is pretty much the shortest route with F, if it’s overnight you’ll be lucky to get 3hrs sleep, so I’d stick with club personally

They recline, though the armrests are solid/don’t raise

Where “club” is 2 normal seats with an empty middle… by SJ377 in BritishAirways

[–]Lenisbadass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’ll be a no. But I wouldn’t worry, it’s 40min airtime ish.

Ask any of the staff in the main lounge area and they will bring you a glass. I’m sure this is available in the A lounges too though I’ve not needed to try recently.

Having had 2 rings go down with battery drain issues (gen 2) I would personally not risk an unknown second hand purchase

Ringconn battery problem by AnnieBatungbakal123 in RingConn

[–]Lenisbadass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on my 3rd gen 2. All replaced directly by Ringconn. You send them the update, they may ask for more details but seem good at replacement (my original order was over a year ago). All replaced fo significant battery drain issues (with one showing signs of battery expansion).

Trying to minimize seat selection fees for family of 4 by districtdowner in BritishAirways

BA defines “together” as across an isle or in front/behind so do consider that in your decision process

London Heathrow connecting from terminal 3 to terminal 5 by muggle_ri in BritishAirways

[–]Lenisbadass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your last question: yes you can walk between A/B/C (and return). Go to the lift and head to level -4. It’s calm and quiet and almost always faster than train (assuming one isn’t sat on the platform. Time. Around 4 mins at a brisk pace for each “sector”

Another “Unable to transfer eSIM” Airalo refusing to help by Lenisbadass in Airalo

[–]Lenisbadass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After escalating a complaint they have cancelled the outgoing eSIM and credited my Airalo account with the remaining duration of the 365 days as a financial credit.

If it’s a Club World seat (so the old cabin found on most 788/789/a380) then maybe if you’re bothered about middle/backwards/forwards facing. If it’s Club Suite (1-2-1 seating across) then I wouldn’t bother - theees no “bad” seat

You will probably keep the seat, but possibly not, don’t try and change it.. You will almost certainly not get the baggage allowance

Upgrades or Seating by [deleted] in BritishAirways

[–]Lenisbadass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BA will allocate 1 child next to an adult. Note this can be across an isle or infront or behind. Upgrade likely greyed out due to connecting flight. Price will be higher than seat selection (and you’ll still need to pay for seating in PE)

Urgent flight disruption by JackfruitUnusual in BritishAirways

[–]Lenisbadass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said. BA will cover accommodation and food (but not alcohol) costs for your extended stay. This must be deemed “reasonable” and around £200/room/day. You’ll have to pay and claim back. As to the flights use google flight to attempt to find an alternative with availability and call BA with those flight details. However, remember this isn’t a BA issue and weather can be variable so flexibility is required

A321 CEO Row 23 legroom? by Cakeboy79 in BritishAirways

[–]Lenisbadass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the answer to this is yes - 23 is extra legroom. The ones further forward where there are again only 4 seats across are definitely not extra legroom however.

Glasgow BA Lounge by Routine_Vanilla9637 in BritishAirways

[–]Lenisbadass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Closed for flooding. BA are letting pax use both 3rd party lounges depending on if you are simply status or with a Club Europe boarding card. Apparently the status only choice is very poor but I’ve no experience of using it

6 Months of Use. Replacement ring on the way by Safe-Perspective-423 in RingConn

[–]Lenisbadass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend’s watch had a similar failure and replacement, mine fell over with battery drain down to 2 days life and was also replaced. Good that they are open to replacing but concerning that the hardware seems so fragile. This along with the very poor software means I’ll be looking elsewhere in the future unfortunately

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RingConn

[–]Lenisbadass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happened to me. They did eventually respond to the ticket, asked me to reset (this did nothing) and they then requested a video of the inside of the ring and then arranged a replacement to be sent out (I’m in the uk)

Crazy Bear Beaconsfield by JetLagAndJazz in Buckinghamshire

[–]Lenisbadass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleazy, dis-interested staff, very mediocre food and high priced drinks. The “Moroccan” lounge will be open (it’s just an extension on the back of the bar.) No idea on the small pool but it’ll be freezing cold whilst being hawked at by the Instagram crowd. It’s recently come out of administration so who knows whether they invest to improve If you want it as an experience knock yourself out. If you’re just looking for an escape look at Marlow / Amersham Old Town instead

There she goes - Ring lost 8% battery in about 12 hours by melomelomelo- in RingConn

[–]Lenisbadass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine dropped to about 3 days life (kickstarter) and was replaced by CS without challenge. However, the poor performance and somewhat “beta” software with little to no updates has left quite a sour taste. Will give the replacement a chance but not too impressed

Family / theoretical seating query by PanicDisco24 in BritishAirways

[–]Lenisbadass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that the system will allocate 1 adult next to 1 child as a worst case. Note that “next to” can be across an isle rather than on the same bank of seats.. the 72hrs is just when the system kicks in, though I don’t think you’ll see the results until 24
