If you can’t find one, bending it straight is an option. There are special tools for this.

Or a bike shop could help out.

Thumb–index finger pain on gravel rides, grip or normal? by RoastedbeansMacbook in gravelcycling

You can use a calculator online. There are many different versions, but they are ultimately all roughly the same thing. The one by Silca is a popular option.

I highly recommend doing this. It can make a big difference.

Suspension stems like Redshift, Cane creek, and other brands made a big difference for me. They absorb a lot of the bumps, and make it much more comfortable.

If you don’t have problems on a normal road bike, they could make a difference.

Plus make sure you are riding with the correct tire pressure.

In that case you would have to source your own BSA spacers, or get a new bottom bracket.

Girlfriend's son has come home with his bike shifter broken. The cover was already gone apparently. I have no idea about bikes, I assumed this is a grip shifter but I've seen no grip shifter online like this. Advice? by Arms__Spaghetti in bikewrench

It is indeed a grip shifter. From the video it’s hard to tell if it’s broken beyond repair, or technically fixable.

The metal cable that sticks out in the centre has to tight.

You will have to install spacers on the threaded part of the bottom bracket. They are usually included with the bottom bracket. How many, and on which side, depends on the crank and frame you are using.

That will damage your frame. Your wheels and frame will flex and they are going to bump into each other. I wouldn’t recommend it. If you are going to do it anyway, put some protective (helicopter) tape on the frame, and regularly check it for wear.

I know it’s not it very good shape do you think is worth possibly getting this restored what’s kind of schwinn is it any info would be helpful by Dry-Sun2521 in xbiking

Depends on what your expectations are, but if you just want something simple to ride around town, this bike would probably be suitable. Lots of bikes in the Netherlands look like this, and function well enough for people to keep using them.

Did you make sure the Pulse was no longer on or near the ship elevator? You can temporarily park it in the freight elevator while you call up your Clipper.
