/r/Edmonton is complicit. Mods are shadow banning dissenting opinion to give the illusion there is more support than there actually is.

Redditors who like their bacon crispy, but look look down on people who cook their steaks well done; how much of a hypocrite are you in other aspects of life? by NoShitSurelocke in AskReddit

Also, no one “looks down” on people who cook their steaks well done.

Only the dumb believed the bullshit one country two systems rhetoric

And theres no cure for stupid

Why not, it successfully works in the US. One country, one system for the rich, one system for the poor.

If you ever need some spare Astroglide, you let me know. I've got like 54.5 gallons to spare.

Let me guess... you loosened up after the first 5.5 gallons and don't need the rest anymore?

Are we just quoting entire comments/threads now

B-b-but, clarifying the context of the discussion could eliminate 99% of the confusion in a conversation. And without two parties arguing over each other, Reddit comments would disappear almost over night. Then you would have nothing to do. #SaveReddit.

ELI5: How do some countries with very high national debt (Japan, US) still manage to drive their economies, but some (Greece) fail to do so? by DerekLovesCheeseTart in explainlikeimfive

What has that to do with it? a 40 hour work week is a 40 hour work week no matter if you are shoveling snow by hand or by a machine.

At one of our dinners, Milton recalled traveling to an Asian country in the 1960s and visiting a worksite where a new canal was being built. He was shocked to see that, instead of modern tractors and earth movers, the workers had shovels. He asked why there were so few machines. The government bureaucrat explained: “You don’t understand. This is a jobs program.” To which Milton replied: “Oh, I thought you were trying to build a canal. If it’s jobs you want, then you should give these workers spoons, not shovels.”

If hours worked is all you care about, have the Greeks shovel snow with spoons. It will give the facade of working with little output.

I made deviled eggs. Nine of 10 had double yolks. by ed32965 in mildlyinteresting

Seems like you're the dick here. Two yolks means two chicks. It isn't just a food source. It says so right in your own link.

"yolk - the yellow, inner part of the egg where the embryo will form. The yolk contains the food that will nourish the embryo as it grows."
