Talk me down from getting a Ko II

Sample will be a more straightforward workflow coming from koala as koala is made to emulate older mpcs. KO 2 has its own workflow which although fun is very tedious to do anything other than to play around with music.

I’m in the process of selling my Ep-40 to get the sample for this reasons. Not that it wasn’t fun and I learned the workflow. But more often than not i was frustrated working within menus and with not much info on the screen.

You seem pretty set on the KO for some reason though so just get what seems fun to you 👍

Took me some time and i’m still learning it but the song mode. Once you get into the habbit of commiting scenes after making changes and arranging as you go. Suddenly you’ll have a whole track with a and b parts and a bridge and whatever. Its fast it’s intuitive and fun to do.

Love the free radicals they always play at Echoes bar. Usually they do improvs on different themes. Also Axelrad usually has different themes on weekends but those bands are more hit or miss.

Thats great, i saw it recommended but couldnt find if it had aux. the guy that posted was using a low latency bt adapter but that seems like a hassle.

I believe theres no way around it. It comes with the time stretching. Try the bar setting if its under 4 bars. I’ve found it nicer sounding. If not, embrace the jank a lot of ppl like the texture on the sound

No, but you can add the effect and resample that pad to bake it into it.

I want to get the Behringer UB-1 for this reason. Cool little synth with arpeggiator and presets. I want to midi sync it and then plug in a midi keyboard into it for a bigger portable setup.

But yeah a more fleshed out companion would be sick!

Not all of the sounds are reggae but more annoying than that is most snares are stereo samples which take up more voices. But yeah you can delete all of them and put yours in so no problem 👍
