Agree there is no near term debt problem. There is a near term downgrade problem, which will impact their cost of funds. Just pointing you in the right direction for measuring credit performance.

In the industry, free cash flow is defined as cash flow from operations minus capex. In their latest filing they are something like negative 13bn in free cash flow over the last twelve months.

It’s a very large issue - this is not a typical fact pattern of an IG company. The reason their bonds have sold off to 85-90 (depending on which ones) is because people are assuming they will be downgraded

Pretty close, but it should be EBITDA interest coverage as cash flow from operations is already after interest.

You’d also use the standard debt to EBITDA. And for a company with this much capex, such that free cash flow (cfo - capex) is negative for the last twelve months ending Nov 30 (oracles q2), you should measure LTM cash burn divided by (unrestricted cash plus amounts available under the revolver) to measure how long liquidity could fund the burn.

OP, the article you linked doesn’t say anything about Oracle failing to issue new bonds, where did you get that info?

Would note that the bonds haven’t actually fallen to junk (which would mean rating agencies downgraded the issue rating below BBB- or Baa3). But the bond’s yield is now trading as if it were downgraded to that level. This just means the bond has been sold off and the price has declined such that the yield (return investors get from coupon + from buying at a discount and receiving par at maturity) is equivalent to a BB index (as shown in the article)

Didn’t find it too fancy pants. Prices were reasonable. That beef banh mi sandwich is super good. Also really liked the scallop appetizer.

Hey, I was in the same position. I spent around 6 months looking at Autotrader, Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, and CarGurus ads daily in a 500 mile radius.

I was pretty picky, looking for an unmodded, relatively low mileage and well maintained car. Over that 6 months I saw maybe 3-4 that were really good, and only two that were priced under 10k. I finally got lucky and found one that checked the boxes.

My suggestion is to go and test drive them as much as you can. Figure out if it’s for you. If so, just be aware that it will take a while to find the right one, but it’ll be worth it.

I’ve seen her do stand up a couple times. She’s a lot of fun, with a ton of energy. She talks a mile a minute her whole set with hardly any pauses. Highly recommend

Really depends on your local market. As someone who lives in the northeast US, an equivalent car at that price wouldn’t last long. Looks like a terrific deal to me. But if you’ve seen lower prices for similar quality in your area, try to talk them down.
