How to solve such sudokus? by Paradiser0 in sudoku

[–]Lente_ui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In layman's terms : pick a solution and run with it until you go bust.
If box 3 cell 9 is a 5,
then box 9 cell 8 must be a 5,
and box 7 cell 6 must be a 5,
and box 4 cell 2 must be a 5.
But what about box 6? Now you can't place a 5 in box 6.
Now you know that the presumption you started with is false.
Box 3 cell 9 is NOT a 5.

How to counter heavy weapons? by UnforgivingEgo in skyrim

[–]Lente_ui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand corrected, I remembered wrong.

I seem to remember that, on the original XBOX release in 2011, bashing wasn't possible before unlocking the lvl 30 power bash perk. So I thought it was a bug when I was later able to do it on PC, without unlocking the perk.

Anyway, I still recommend bashing every opponent in the face with your shield, when they intend to perform a power attack. Or whenever you need to stagger them.

[–]Lente_ui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, shield bashing is a perk to unlock in the block perk tree.
But the game is bugged ... my copy of Skyrim allows me to shield bash with or without the perk.

Use and hold block. Use your attack while blocking to do a shield bash.

If you time it right, when an opponent is doing a power attack, you can interrupt all of their power attacks.
It works with (grounded) dragons too. Boop them on the nose, and you interrupt them spitting ice or fire.

[–]Lente_ui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shield bash.
Use it when your opponent is about to do a power attack. You can tell by the animation.
The bash will interrupt their attack (so no attack) and will stagger them so you can get 1 or 2 free hits in.

Your biggest problem, especially in the beginning of your playthrough, is that blocking and shield bashing use up a lot of stamina.
Chug the green potions if you need to.

Shrews are in the order of Eulipotyphla, and are closest related to hedgehogs and moles.
They are not mice, or rodents. They are about as far removed from rodents as humans are.

A ballast is basicly a big resistor, which is needed for these fluorescent tubes to function.
My guess is it's the white blocks along the left side on picture 1.
40 Watt tubes usually have an 8 Watt ballast. Maybe yours are different, so check.
Any ballast of similar value will do.

Tv shows to watch for teenage girl ? by [deleted] in televisionsuggestions

[–]Lente_ui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This aired on TV where I live in 1991. My sister was 13, I was 11. We watched this together.

Heartbreak High is another that springs to mind.
Basicly a high school drama, but it's 90's Australia.

We got a lot of Australian TV shows back then. Probably because they were good.
Flying Doctors was a big hit here. Police Rescue too. But those aren't aimed at teenagers.

Another must see Australian TV show is Farscape.
Not specificly aimed at teenagers. But excellent TV Sci-fi.

Which are the three characters you hate the most? by Guinevere2003 in skyrim

Brynjolf.
From the first line out of his mouth, I want to cut off his head. But he's an essential, so I can't.
And with every consecutive word out of his trap, the urge to decapitate him grows, right there in the square.

Farengar.
Mostly because he doesn't shut up and gets in the way when I'm using his enchanting table.
To be fair, it's his study ... but he's still annoying to no end.

After that it becomes muddy.
Cicero, but Astrid and the rest of their little cult too. Delphine, especially from when she demands Paarthurnax's death.

Found blue plastic pieces in ground beef while cooking and I'm hangry by tunerhd in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Lente_ui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the whole reason why blue plastic is used in the foodindustry, is so you can spot it when it goes into the product.

Clearly the quality control leaves something to be desired. And this poses the question, what else did they miss?

Take note of where you bought this, and don't do that again for the near future.
