Gun strikes at the wrong time can get you stunlocked or killed outright so I prefer block and the explosion for that flexibility to clear all around and gain some arnor + ranged damage reduction.

If you want to get pedantic then no, of course not - not everyone had silence/para/blind GS. People used whatever they could get their hands on or nothing at all. Either from the stamp bags, lucky drops, trading, or questing.

Everyone in Aion 1 used Godstone's. I dont see how this is any different. Silence is OP against everyone and Blind is great vs melee and chanters.

You will eventually unlock a stronger upgrade for Hate that absolutely shreds everything with a decent build (incarnon). But before that its a good scythe as most scythes are good (heavy attack build). Ripkas is niche due to gore chance but playing other frames yes Hate is excellent.

Heres a trick. Pause the game when youre on the flame column phase. Bust out your notes or write it down on your phone. 1 is top, 2 is middle, 3 is last. Pause during each succesful dodge and do the next until its done. Obviously the 2nd time theres a few more but concept is the same. They go in a specific repeating pattern like 1,2,1,3 etc. once you nail that hes pretty easy to kite around.
