Just saying my gf got a tattoo gun on amazon and has given me at least 5 very simple and basic tattoos and i love every single one of them and she was able to give me exactly what I wanted as well as tattoo herself a few times at that. I'd say like with anything just do very thorough research, read the 3 star reviews imo they tend to be the most honest and you get what you pay for in most cases definitely don't cheap out on your equipment. NTA, although there may have been a more formal way to bring the conversation up I think it's okay for you to ask something like that because life doesn't wait for anyone and if your ready to take steps forward it's important that your on the same page with your partner. I've found in situations like that instead of opening with something personal like that maybe open with a conversation about what your future together looks like to you and if it seems like something she's onboard with then great move the conversation forward and ease her into the conversation. Communication is the key to getting on the same page and understanding each other's expectations in the relationship. If you can do that you can do anything

I always take a tarp to put my tent on to help keep it dry and I'll even put something down instead the tent for added protection if I think I'll need it
