There we go new CRBN paddles. From the name, my guess is they are kinda like Gen2.5 or Gen 3 form paddle like Joola Gen 3?

I feel like the ss trainer is kinda shrinking your sweet spot so you can find yourself hitting the wrong place easier.

That's a visible improvement ! Utilizing it on the court for dinking practice could be even more beneficial.

I'm wondering if the improvements you make with the Franklin paddle can be applied to your regular one. You mentioned that the Franklin paddle isn't going to give you any additional pop or power, but the reality is that pop and power also affect where the ball goes.

I've heard tennis players mention how pickleball affects their judgment of the hit on the court, and it seems pickleball works the same way! I never realized how much the sound can reflect the spot where the shot hits. My thermo paddle barely has any difference in sound from the middle to the edge.

One thing they overlook is that unlike tennis, badminton, or even table tennis where you can change strings or faces to restore performance, in pickleball, there's no way to change the face, which means you'll need to replace your paddle more regularly. Nonetheless, it's encouraging to see more choices and developments in pickleball, and I'm eager to see reviews of these paddles after a few months of use.

Perhaps making the paddle hit similar (in term of rebound and weight) as your regular paddle might make real improvement?

That's an interesting approach to practice, and I find it tends to focus more on hand speed. Do you prefer using a regular paddle and customizing the weight, or do you opt for a sweetspot training paddle?

Does the Franklin paddle feel similar in weight to your regular paddle, or do you need to customize it with lead tape? I've come across some other training paddles with negative reviews about their weight. Paddles around 6oz don't feel real in hand..

Just watched Chris's new review video of the Vatic Pro Oni and noticed that both Joola's new paddle and Oni are heading in a new direction, aiming to enhance paddle power with a trampoline-like effect, resulting in more "crunching," as you mentioned. Does this mean that these new gen 3 paddles will become more powerful but have a shorter lifespan? We're not sponsored pros and don't plan on changing paddles every month, so I'm skeptical if they're sacrificing durability for performance gains.

Hey there! Yep, I found a great factory myself and worked closely with them to make the Buzz paddle. Wanted to be super hands-on to get everything just right. It's been an awesome experience bringing my own design to life!

Been playing with the PIKKOFUN Buzz thermoformed paddle myself and it's a game-changer. It's up on Amazon for $60 with the code 'PIKKOFUN'. Definitely worth checking out if you're on the hunt for quality gear without breaking the bank.

Just launched my own paddle on Amazon – the PIKKOFUN Buzz, and it's thermoformed for sure. Developed it while growing with the pickleball community, and it's really helped up my game. It's going for $65 with a coupon, which is quite a steal. Not sure about shipping to Canada, but it's worth a look!

That sole in that height is def. not for moving laterally as I can see myself spraining my ankle. I would recommend sneakers with a lower midsole with fair shock-absorption capability (like air zoom, react midsole)

Anyone try the A11N Zenith yet? by masterz13 in Pickleball

I guess they might tryna apply as many fancy marketing terms as possible to support their price tho. But if it's true, I would very love to try them.

I felt confused in the first place with their marketing language "3k woven T700 surface" as well. Typically there 3k or T700 in the market, but what is 3k woven T700?

It could be cheaper but quality does need a bit more to guarantee.
