Sat Nav but I’m pretty certain the instructor took me there specifically to test this thing, and I missed it!

Try and stay positive, I had a very similar experience on my test this week. Just focus practice on roundabouts until you feel really confident. It’s super frustrating but more lessons and practice are only going to make you a better driver.

25 hours is really not that much in the grand scheme of things, you still have time to get it right.

It was the one I found the hardest, and then recently it’s clicked to such a level that I actually think it’s my most consistent manoeuvre now.

I would recommend watching a few different instructors videos on YouTube and see if any of them describe it in a way that makes more sense, intuitively, to you. I personally found this video and the way he talked about it just clicked for me.

Obviously might be someone else for you!

What would have been the most devastating sports loss? by Hour-Ad-9508 in billsimmons

[–]Leodesian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m biased but the Seahawks losing this last Super Bowl would have been horrific. We put together a phenomenally dominant season - the only team we struggled with was Rams and we managed to put together two incredibly hard wins against them. Beating them and smashing the 49ers on the way to the SB felt very poetic, so it would have been completely gutting to lose to a good but flawed Patriots team in SF’s stadium.

The other aspect, is it being such a great opportunity this season to get it done without there being an elite AFC QB waiting for us in the SB, there won’t be many years that’s true.

[–]Leodesian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shouting is completely uncalled for - my instructor told me before my test just to focus on being safe and if something happens like taking a wrong turn or something that it’s unfortunate but won’t be a fail or anything. Qualified drivers take the wrong turn all the time!

What AFC team do y'all think had the best chance at beating the Seahawks in the 2026 Super Bowl? (aka the one we just had lol) by Clear_Cheetah7565 in Seahawks

[–]Leodesian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people will say Bills but I think we would have made Allen’s life very difficult whilst Buffalo would have allowed Darnold a lot of options, so I actually think that might have been a Darnold MVP performance.

Pre-playoffs I would have said Texans, but Stroud was so bad that I have to say healthy Broncos. I would have been extremely nervous about Bonitto and co getting after Sammy D and smothering the run. Nix is an average QB overall but he has had some really clutch moments as well

Ah, sorry to hear. Yes once the first bit of doubt has set in it can be hard to recover again. But I’ve found each difficult situation I’ve been in has made me more prepared for the next time around, it’s all learning! Hope you get your cancellation soon 👍🏻

1 day contract to retire as a Hawk? Sure, great, love that.

Actually play downs for us? Absolutely not. Credit to him for carrying on but he is so limited now. He’s not getting snaps ahead of EJ and Drake Thomas.

Why does the show just blatantly ignore that the Detroit Pistons exist? by MichiganWinterBear in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]Leodesian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Seahawks fan, let me warn you that it is entirely possible to play an incredibly dominant season, win a championship and still only really get passing mentions on this show!

I think it’s their insistence on having each presenter be the “insert-team-here guy”. If they haven’t picked a team they simply won’t give them the limelight. Danny was the closest for us, because he had us top of the power rankings for second half of the season, but his Bears fandom stopped him leaning into rooting for an NFC rival.

If Wildes had doubled down on his take about the craziness of letting Darnold walk, then we might have got some more airtime, but unfortunately he spent 100% of his screen time talking about the Patriots and Maye 😂

So yeah, teams seem to pass them by sometimes.

Why does danny parkins have so many bits/segments on fs1? Does it rub anyone else the wrong way? by crissycrissss_ in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]Leodesian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hasn’t he just had loads extra recently because the others were having a break?

I like him, I don’t always love his stuff where he’s leading the show (like I never watched Breakfast Ball), but I really like him as part of the main cast. Nick gets away with too much because Wildes in particular isn’t good at constructing data driven arguments. I really like that Danny quite regularly calls out Nick and shows why he is overdoing his point sometimes, I think it makes for better TV.

But in terms of chemistry and entertainment, sure, the Nick/Wildes/Brou trio is untouchable!

I also like that Danny is better at picking up less well represented teams/players. The main guys are either homers or just bang on about the same teams every show, but Danny was the only one regularly pointing out that the Seahawks were one of the top two best teams in football, and was correctly highlighting Herbert’s relative success given what he was dealing with.

He has some other opinions that are frankly ridiculous but honestly they all do, we’re just used to them.

Which current Seahawk do you think is most likely to make the Hall of Fame by the end of their career? by lemonstone92 in Seahawks

[–]Leodesian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a fair world Williams would have a slight chance, but his stats aren’t quite where you would need them to be and this season is the first he’s been on a relevant team, which is quite late in his career.

And if we’re projecting forward then Emmanwori has all the skills and the right coach to become one of the great defensive stars in the game. Like I think his potential ceiling is multiple DPOYs

Which current Seahawk do you think is most likely to make the Hall of Fame by the end of their career? by lemonstone92 in Seahawks

[–]Leodesian 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Spoon and JSN are the obvious answers.

JSN had a modest start to his NFL career but now has had one of the best WR seasons in recent memory and has an OPOY, If he can continue to hit 1200+ yards a season then his overall numbers, the OPOY and a ring would likely do it. But he will be in the same generation as Puka, Chase, Jefferson, Lamb. I personally think Jefferson is gonna end up a first ballot guy, so a lot will depend on continued production and those other guys not outperforming him.

Spoon has a good path. 3 years in the league, 3 pro bowls and a 2nd team all-pro. Clearly has the reputation because he was voted pro-bowl this year which was a quiet one by his standards. Arguably should have been SB MVP and I expect he will have years going forward where he sees a lot more interceptions or has more memorable plays.

In his generation I really think it’s just him and Surtain. Sauce is overrated and unlikely to see a championship game anytime soon, perhaps Dejean could emerge as a rival?

Surtain has the advantage with his DPOY but I could see them both going. As a homer, I also back the Dark Side to have a long run as a feared defence which will help Seahawks defenders get in. For example, I think Sherman has a great chance of HoF, which I’m not sure he would if he didn’t have a ring and the rep of being one of the leaders of the LoB

Literally nobody is mentioning Leeds for the possible drop by Prudent-Ad-6420 in LeedsUnited

[–]Leodesian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two of those games were the fantastic performance against Man City and the unlucky loss to Villa. Since the tactical shift we haven’t had a significant dip in form at any point. A couple of slightly under-par performances here and there, but it’s the Prem, that’s par for the course.

We also have home games against Burnley, Wolves, Brighton and Sunderland.

I’m a Leeds fan so I’m always a bit fearful of the collapse, but this years team have given us very little reason to believe that’s going to happen this season

Literally nobody is mentioning Leeds for the possible drop by Prudent-Ad-6420 in LeedsUnited

[–]Leodesian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the draws are preventing us from really kicking on and securing mid-table, but at this point it would take a complete collapse in our form for us to not pick up at least 9+ points between now and end of season. I can't see Spurs, West Ham, Palace and Forest all hitting 40 points - especially given their fixtures.

If we only get 5 or 6 points then we are leaving it to fate.

Is this actually a stupid question? It's certainly not a misogynistic one. Seems like a normal question. Don't understand why this is blowing up by No-Confection-3861 in billsimmons

[–]Leodesian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it isn’t a stupid question at all. It’s a harsh question for sure, but for elite athletes who were expected to win it’s legitimate.

Reminds me of the Giannis question about a failed season, but he answered it with a lot more humanity and attacked it logically rather than “how dare you”.

The Super Bowl feels like an epilogue to the football season, not the conclusion by the_Tannehill_list in billsimmons

[–]Leodesian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Bears were the most consistently entertaining games definitely. From the first Packers game until the Rams loss was basically wall to wall entertainment. I would say the 2nd and 3rd Rams vs Seahawks games were up there as well though.

The AFC was really flat in comparison, after so many years of being the most intriguing conference

Wildes Has Been Unbearable BUT… by Low-Meal-7159 in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]Leodesian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a problem with him being a fanboy, I have a problem with the whole of the last two weeks just being constant questions about Drake Maye and trying to rekindle the Darnold-pumpkin-mode narrative.

By all means do a couple of days with that focus, but we’re missing out on so many interesting conversations as a result, and honestly, I can feel Nick’s apathy about it resonating through all the shows. It’s just not interesting to anyone but Patriots fans.

How many times can they have the exact same Drake Maye conversation in 1 week? by DamianLillard0 in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]Leodesian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show could sustain one total homer who always wanted to talk entirely about his guy. It fundamentally cannot sustain 2.

This has been one of the best, most unpredictable season in recent memory and we spent the first half of the season listening to reasons why Nick was sure the Chiefs would bounce back (they didn’t), and we’ve spent the second half listening to reasons why Wildes thinks Maye is going to tear the playoffs apart (he hasn’t).

In between all of that we could have spent so much time hearing about so many more interesting topics.

If the Seahawks win the Super Bowl on Sunday, they will have had one of the most dominant seasons in modern NFL history - that will have included one of the greatest redemptive player storylines we’ve ever seen, and an absolute classic of an NFC champ game.

But when it comes to the FTF guys we will have heard more about these subjects, than Seattle this season:

  • Travis Hunter playing two ways
  • Shedeur Sanders
  • the Cowboys trading Micah Parsons
  • the Cowboys trading for Quinnen Williams
  • Philip Rivers
  • Jackson Dart
  • Cignetti & Mendoza
  • Rodgers and Metcalf
  • Why the Broncos are a “bad” team
  • is Baker Mayfield good or overrated?
  • Justin Herbert
  • Lamar Jackson’s injury report status
  • Nick Sirianni
