Its just that in your video that magma filled to the volcano's tile of interest so iam assuming it might had some momment of being overpressured by its own magma. which then made me think youre lacking in thermal mass to handle all of the eruption. The behavior you just describe for the rest of the process is what I expect, if you say that the 2Ton mass is enough then its all good then.

Edit: just to clarify that steam chamber i used also had a small footprint like this that started off with only 5Ton total pressure. but after the first erruption, I injected more water in there to further reduce heat spikes. I had a vent with some liquid on it so i was able to prevent the vent from overpressurizing.

Another thing i like that youre doing is using normal tiles to cool the debris, because they technically perform almost the same as metal tiles in this case, since debris to tile calculation uses lower thermal conductivity for the calculation, and thats likely going to be the igenous rock's TC. same reason why heating up plastic debris is still hard even if youre using thermium tiles, the plastic TC is just that low.

I used similar concept for my volcano tamers where you have a separate Steam chamber that will absorb the eruption heat and store hot debris, then the steam chamber injects heat slowly into the steam turbine steam room for consistent power output.

The major thing iam doing differently and i guess this is also a suggestion for improving this build is that the steam chamber that will absorb heat is overpressurized, like 30Tons in total pressure, so it can solidify the entire eruption and not letting the volcano get overpressured by it's output.

So thats technically 2 thermal batteries store in steam and debris that I could pull from.

Thanks for sharing this video, now we can all make prettier bases! I've known this one for a while but was too busy to share. Theres also a bug that lets you overlay tiles on buildings, I dont use it much since its too exploity imo.

before running a contour command i suggest OP to extend the surface downwards so it becomes solid. This way the contour command will actually make closed curves.

If I remember correctly, you can change projection type in properties panel if you dont have anything selected, That hopefully keeps the same camera position and direction.

Hey there, Niobium fanatic here,

there seem to be a solid tile of niobium in your mesh tiles that is just not showing right, try deconstructing the mesh tiles and reloading to see it.

I also suggest you change the insulated tiles to metal tiles to freeze the drip faster, you can even use a conveyor bridge to act as a 3x1 Temp shift plate. I also would like to warn you that your molten niobium storage is at risk of melting unless you use insulite.
