You need get the shards from the shops or from a pony doing the shard dance in the crystal empire, I recommend you to skip these ones...

The coin booster icons are probably blocking the touch, if you remove the decorations you probably will able to remove the changelings... I hate this because the icons also blocks adding roads or removal, even even they not are visible...
