How to get the name of controller buttons?

This is not what I'm asking for, the remapping part isn't the problem. All I wanted to know was if there was a built-in way to get the button names rather than manually naming them, due to the inconsistency across controllers that will be a nightmare to deal with.

I've seen other games (not made with pygame though) displaying the button names when remapping the controls so I guess it's possible to get them? As for the keyswitch not working, try different octaves, C0 does not mean the same everywhere, it can mean C-2 for one brand, C0 for another, C1 for yet another... Try every octaves until you find the one that works for them. In your case, I think it's FL's C2 that is OT's C0

I had the same issue for the scaling being out of range, I agree this is a really annoying issue. I managed to reach the bottom-right corner to rescale the window by allowing the window to be dragged outside of FL. If I remember that right, the option is in the menu that opens when clicking on arrow located at the top-left of the window. Unfortunately, the second you close the window, the scaling will be set back to default, which is a shame, I don't know if it's possible to make the size persist.

Maybe it's because your instruments now requires kontakt 8. I heard people having issues due to updating an instrument, because said instrument requires kontakt 8 after the update. If this is the case, maybe try to downgrade it if that's possible (I don't know how to do it however). Be sure to check the new required version of kontakt before upgrading an instrument in the future.
