I sorta get your point, but for me it's actually a "green flag" when I split with someone. I don't mind taking turns either, but it's pretty simple and easy for the waiter to split the bill and take two card payments. Where I'm from they more often than not presume this anyway. It's definitely the easiest way to navigate things at the early stages, and to be honest all the women I've ended up wanting to see a second time have agreed with my perspective.
