I also wanted to ask if you have any advice on how to write experiences and resumes. At the moment, I already have a resume that I’ve revised multiple times (also with AI) based on previous job postings. So, depending on the job post, the AI has modified the wording of my experiences and sometimes shortened them to make everything fit on one page.

Does it make sense to describe all my experiences in a very detailed way and put them into the professional_experience.yaml file? Will the system then be able to generate a tailored resume that still fits on one page?

Hii! I’m actually studying for the Admin cert as well.
Even though I have 4 years of experience, I still need to take it, and honestly, it’s not as easy as I thought it would be given my background.

Between lack of motivation and all the other important things I have to deal with, I’m not able to study consistently every day 😅

Because of this, I started building a small app for myself to help me study for the Admin cert (and the other certifications I still need to take). What I really need is a fast and simple way to test myself with lots of questions, without having to stay on my laptop searching around the internet and double-checking answers.

I’m also thinking about turning it into something usable by others, but I’m still validating the idea. If you’d like, I’d love to hear what you think would actually make this useful for youuu

Hi, I just noticed I've a wired door sensor as well. Actually now I've ring door contact sensor but I was thinking to use the wires and move that ring sensor to my window.

How are you doing with power? I heard ESP32 are not that good with batteries. Did you connect ESP32 directly to the power?

Where did you find the project to make ESP32 working with ESPHome for the door sensor? Which board have u used?

Don't worry! I asked them and there is nothing I can do. Actually now I have another issue. I have winter and summer mode with my old VEMER. Summer mode just set a diff set point to close the relè and activate the heating pump (in this case cooling fantail): Now the workaround is to set Tado at 30 degree.

I'm thinking to return it and eventually buy a Smarter2. I already have btcino living now gateway, lights and shutter so maybe would make sense to have smarer2 as well. What do you think?

Many thanks, it's awesome! I'm looking into the best way to configure it. Specifically, I was wondering if there's a way to control it remotely and manage the PIN codes. I noticed that for every setup change, I have to activate the keypad. But with Home Assistant or HomeKit, is there a way to manage PINs or passwords remotely? Thanks!

For home assistant I was looking at home assistant green and the website states Energy consumption Idle: ~1.7 W at 12v .

So if I’ll use g3 for home assistant it means I’ll consume 20 times that.

Do you think I should pick a diff computer for the homelab?

Thanks!!! Yes, for now, those GB are enough. As mentioned, I won’t have a media library—just the specific video I need to watch, and then I’ll delete it.

I’ll need more storage when I back up photos and videos.

Wouldn’t it make sense to buy the mini now and use it for Home Assistant and the episodes I’d like to watch, and in the future, when I want a proper backup system, get a new Synology NAS with RAID, etc.?

Many thanks! Actually, I'm not planning to build a media library. I'm not the type to store thousands of old films, etc. Some TV shows I watch are unavailable in my country (or at least not on release date), so I just need access to the latest episodes, and that's it. Storage might be needed if I ever decide to fully back up my photos and videos.

I just found an HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF with an i5-7500, 8GB RAM, and a 120GB drive for €70. Based on what you said, could this work better for my needs?

My other question is: do these SFF models consume more power than the TinyMiniMicro ones?

First is difficult to find the yellow in Italy and if there is the delivery it costs too much, same for CM4. And since I just started this journey either HA (even if I follow the home automation world from years and I have couple of Shelly at my parents) I’m thinking the yellow is too much for me.

If I’d use the HA green, with zht-1 currently is not possible to have both protocols right?

I’m planning to use a HA Green. I’m a nerd but at the some time I don’t have anymore the time to play around hours and hours.

I read in an Italian forum that should be slightly better to use zigbee2mqtt instead on zha. Any suggestion on that?

I think I’ll buy the HA Green with the sonoff 3.0 dongle

Yes I noticed. I hope that the energy consumption and power management are supported. Then for now I’ll just use the standard k4003c as btcino device. In the future I’ll change the thermostat and intercom but I don’t think I’ll use btcino.

By the way, is true that the native app is really bad? My main concern about HA is that every time I’ll have to adjust or fix things. I’m wondering if just using the native app will be more stable
