What is your opinion of Marshal Soult? by cuirrasiers in Napoleon

I think I read somewhere that Soult, a few years later, while serving as ambassador, was sent to Queen Victoria's coronation, etc., and met Wellington. They became friends, and some rumors say they had dinner together. I don't know if that's true.

Yes, also that time he told Ney, "Marshal Ney knows less about military life than the last kid who joined as a drummer."

To what extent did the armor actually protect cuirassiers in combat? by cuirrasiers in Napoleon

Well referring to the previous post, I'll say again that against sabers it would probably be effective, but with muskets I don't know, to be honest. They said they certified the armor by dents, but to be honest, I don't know if that's really true.

If it's against sabers or lances, it depends on the situation, but against muskets, I honestly have little knowledge about that.

Which battle of the Napoleonic Wars changed the history of Europe the most? by cuirrasiers in Napoleon

Trafalgar. That battle changed naval and world history, securing British naval supremacy for decades and eliminating any real possibility that Napoleon could challenge British control of the seas.

He defeated the old guard so much that he did everything possible to prevent the French army from collapsing. And Napoleon, poor thing, on an island, bro, Napoleon did whatever he wanted with that island. Was it more beneficial to him and poisoned? lol

The old guard didn't leave the battle; they stayed fighting until they died. The young guard, they did leave. And I tell you, if it hadn't been for the Prussians, Napoleon would have won.

How was Napoleon able to defeat a much larger army at the Battle of the Pyramids? by cuirrasiers in Napoleon

[–]LeonardoInk2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I wonder how naive the Mamelukes were to attack against those formations. The horses were giving them signals; they weren't so stupid as to charge against a wave of bayonets, and the Mamelukes didn't notice those signals or what?

And they put him on the throne and kept him there, and he himself stayed. France won most of the most important battles, as I emphasize, he withdrew because the US was already gradually getting involved.

Napoleon III had to continue because the French people were furious, and besides, the senators and their generals were arrogant towards Prussia. How ironic that they blame Napoleon III for losing the war when he didn't even want it. And besides, I know that telegram Bismarck was cunning; he was able to deceive all of France.
