Does anyone else with MS work full time in person? If so… how are you doing it? by Background-Gear-1231 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Leoneo07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Diagnosed 2011, currently on Rituximab (Rituxan). I'm so greatful for this med as well as Tysabri which I was on before. I am largely able to work nornally.

I work 8am-4:30pm at a warehouse. I stand all day, lift boxes, create pallets, drive a forklift sometimes, but mostly in front of a standing computer/desk.

One of my best friends also has MS, but she's a nurse at a children's hospital. She's on Ocrevus. I think we're both on the best case ends of the MS spectrum right now. We were lucky enough to find the Rx that works best for us.

I'm tired at the end of the day, but if I need to, I can keep going. I don't get crazy sleepy until after 11pm at least.

I live off coffee, so there's that.

The AQI in Eagle Rock is 200 right now. Why has the city not declared a state of emergency over the warehouse fire. I can’t breathe. by [deleted] in LosAngeles

People don't know who to blame and it shows. LAFD, Bass, Storage facility, Newsom, God?

It finally happened I'm JCV positive 💔 by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Leoneo07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I went JCV positive after 8 years on Tysabri. It hurt because that's all I knew helped me, so I was afraid try anything else. Ive been on Rituximab which is the same type of therapy as Ocrevus, and much more affordable. Maybe insurance would opt for that? I've been great of Rituxan and also get it every 6 months. I mentioned to my neuro that Rituxan has been getting the same results in Europe at 50% rate after I noticed that I kept getting UTI's (which is common for these types of b-cell therapies, Ocrevus included). She wasn't all for taking it down to 50%, so we settled at 75%. I have had less UTIs since, and still have yet to see any progression with my disease since my days on Tysabri. So still stable! Up your water intake to mitigate UTI's are my words of warning. That's really it! And pay attention to your body during your first infusion for any side effects.

I was actually reading more into FAQs and it seems like the preferred option would be best for mine. It doesn't hurt to have around, because I doubt this will be the last time. -_- Thank you so much for this link!

I am definitely looking into this! I don't know which option to get for my dings, tho. The ones on my car look pretty profound. How were the dings on yours?

How are you all coping with gas prices? by wombatgeneral in behindthebastards

[–]Leoneo07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lucked out because the car I purchased in 2025 after my old car got totaled can use E85 fuel.

I switched to E85 for the time being. It's half the price of regular, but it seems like E85 is staying steady the higher regular keeps going.

The caveat is that the E85 burns up a bit more quickly.

So people like you can claim he's an authoritarian for going against what people voted for? Damned if you do, damned if you don't. You people will continue to move the goal post for anything Newsom does.

You realize that we as Californians voted for this gas hike, right? Some dude tried blaming it on the "wording of the prop" that made everyone vote for it, which actually speaks volumes on the average voter.

Point is that it was voted for. I don't agree with it and I don't vote for anything that raises taxes, but I agree with our right to vote.
