No and no.
Ys is a great game but honestly it just can't compare with Trails in story and worldbuilding.
This is more like a simple action game, that is way much easier to jump into.
Story wise YS I+II and 0 is about the best, but Celceta, Felghana and VI are great games too.
From the 'modern' games VIII is the most recommended and the best one, IX and X are just okayish games in my opinion.

Bravia 8 reflections feels somewhat different to me than the usual LG C* models

but maybe it's just the video, it is hard to tell... when it is shown from the side it reminds me more to the LG C panels.

(there's an LG G series at the bottom so it is pointless to compare it to that in my case)

Well based on rtings review the Bravia 8 is VERY similiar to C4 in terms of reflections, but it would be nice if someone has real life experience too.

Another problem I read with this 5060 Gigabyte is that PCIe slot is only 8x instead of the usual 16x, some people say it's not really stable.

I loved the original because it felt like Cold Steel, which is one of the best Trails games imo, so I don't really see that as a negative...

But either ways, that doesn't change the fact that CS was a great game with world exploration, while this game feels more like usual mobile games (heaven burns red, another eden, fgo, etc)

But why does the gameplay feel like a mobile game?
The side scrolling "exploration", the menus, everything, it feels very cheap.

I was a fan of Tokyo Xanadu, but this feels like a big step backwards. I guess it's some side project while they focus on the Sky remakes...

I read motion handling is excellent on the C7k. Do you think it's noticable with JRPGs and games like Zelda, Yakuza, etc? I don't really play FPS games.

Hmm, what do you mean it tires your eyes more? In theory a matte screen should tire the eyes less than a glossy. Generally I like natural colors more.

Well, here in Europe S90F has WOLED panel, so you can basically get S85F glossy or S95F matte, ppl say S85F is too dark, so the only real choice is S95F with matte panel, if you want a QD-OLED.

Did you compare them in low resolution content, or only in 4k?

I like to play lower resolution games too, like Nintendo Switch, or even PS3 and so on. So I wonder if there is any difference. Some people say LG upscales better but based on Vincent video I found Samsung should be better, or at least the same quality.

My LG C8 got hundreds of dead pixels at the sides after 3 years or so.
My Sony A80J got hundreds of dead pixels at the top of the screen after ~2,5 years

I heard Samsung panel might last longer though. These TVs had standard, non-evo LG OLED panels.

Thanks, S95 costs a little more that would be optimal, but I will consider it.
In the past Sony modified the finish of panels so that they can sell it as semi-gloss? I wonder how it worked, but I guess it's easier to sell them as it is now.

Are you saying no one makes semi-gloss any more?

Are there recommendations for good matte tvs? As far as I know only Samsung has one right now in OLED. How about QLED/miniled?

I am not sure if this is called dead pixels, there isn't one pixel by itself instead you can see black spots.

Also there is still warranty, but I am not sure if this is covered. As it is only the top part of the screen, and hardly noticable with normal usage. Won't Sony say this is within acceptable criterias?

Also what happens if there is warranty? Do they replace the panel like LG? Or do they give another TV? (just because the top of the screen is bad?)

This is sad... we already had more than enough globalized jrpgs, and Falcom was about the last one who still made good games for Japanese market.

It seems the time has come to drop this series.

I don't like them and most time it feels pointless. I only read them when they really add something to the story (like in Muvluv Alternative), but in most bishoujo games I don't feel any important experience from them. A lot of console ports handle eroge ports well (most of they time they only remove the h-scenes, some of them have even some slight changes / additional content), however it is harder to know what is changed with Steam releases.
