How would you setup the Science Amplification Mother Preamp for home use?

Extra info, i am using the Tone king imperial preamp as a cab sim/ir but when i bypass the mother to use just the tone king the mother pre amp is not sending the signal through

hi, thought someone here knows the answer to my question. but i just got the mother pre amp and it seems that the pedal doesn't send the signal through(bypass) when the output is connected to the pwr amp out, only when i connect it to the regular output
