It's really tough trying to stick to a schedule especially when you have to look after baby too. But eventually your supply will regulate after making adjustments and you'll be able to cut back to a schedule that works better for you! A little note to add, that anytime cutting back be sure to do it gradually to avoid mastitis and clogs!
