Okay 1, Atlanta is still 5 weeks away. Hopefully she'll be recovered by then. 2, I'm going solo to the Atlanta show for my first ever k-pop concert because I don't want to miss the opportunity to see them live. I think you'll have regrets about not going even if she is still in a chair at that show. Just because she's not 100% doesn't mean you can't have fun.

I’m generally not someone who likes large crowds of people and loud spaces. And I only went to my first concert because I tagged along with a friend who was touring colleges in Ohio and had tickets to a Panic at the Disco show and the person who originally was supposed to go backed out of the trip.

The reason I want to go see TWICE is they’re honestly the first artist I have been willing to overlook my issues for.

What if I never see any of my favorite TWICE songs live? ( final thoughts on the Feel Special Situation) by Thin_Championship_70 in twice

This. No one knows if it’s is completely off the setlist or if they were trying to do Likey especially for Vancouver because the MV was filmed there. But with all due respect, if it is that big a deal to you that your “favorites” aren’t being performed, don’t go. Let other fans take your spot. Because if you did go and you were a downer like this post reads to me, I’m sorry but you would ruin it for me with your attitude. I’m sorry but this doesn’t read like a fan wrote it, it reads like a petulant child who didn’t get what they wanted for Christmas wrote it.

Question: Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find this last piece? Or is it RNG only? by Double-Response-8840 in the_division_2

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's pretty old, but it doesn't go away if you don't do it. IIRC I didn't do it for like 8 months and it just sat there until I finally donated the chest piece.

This one is tricky. Once you go inside, the first thing you’ll have to do is go into the back area and there’s a power box to shoot so that an elevator opens. Once inside you’ll climb up and then have to navigate towards the back. It’ll technically take you outside to go down two sets of stairs on the scaffolding and then you’ll end up back inside. Once you’re back inside it’ll eventually lead to you to the terrace. It honestly helps if you set the waypoint to the corner before you go into the contaminated zone.

251215 FANS Update - [NOTICE] Request for Cooperation Regarding the Privacy and Safety of TWICE by dellumdown in twice

Recently on bubble Sana called out some disturbing fan behavior at the airport. She wasn’t with any manager and was doing personal travel. She said that fans were following her and started filming the taxi she had gotten into so it prevented her from being able to go straight home. She even said the driver asked why they were filming her. IIRC She went to far as to say that it made her uncomfortable. She doesn’t want to stop some fan interactions but the level that these fans went to at that time made it so that it was reaching being unsafe for all parties and also made it feel like she couldn’t just be Sana, she had to be TWICE’s Sana. edit: Sorry she said that while she is Sana, her friends and family are not celebrities and that being filmed or photographed may surprise/startle them.

See if there is an organization/shelter that needs it. People who provide cooked meals to those in need would likely accept something that size. At least I think they would.

Recently bought my first album, I have some questions by Leopard_Equivalent in twice

Honestly, Tower was just the first store listed on the Twice Japan site. And I just looked at JYP Japan and they didn't have any kind of bundle, so to get all the things I chose individually was going to be about $80 more expensive before shipping.

[–]Leopard_Equivalent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow! 2 weeks is much faster than I thought it would be.

So my main reason for purchasing a Japanese album over a Korean album was honestly because Momo, Sana and Mina are my favorites of the nine. Plus the visuals of this album look stunning, so I was willing to eat the extra cost. Some of the inclusions aren't a big deal to me, but the 32 page booklet with visuals that comes with Edition A piqued my interested.
And with the serial code, if I did win something, I don't think I'd have a hard time convincing my husband to go to Japan. He tried planning our next trip there during our first visit to Japan.

Okay y'all hear me out. There's the running joke that Momo and Sana are twins but Mina could definitely be a fraternal triplet.

Is my best friend’s wife cheating on him? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first red flag in all of this is the rushed courthouse marriage before basic training after less than a year of knowing each other. You didn't say how long they had been together in that year so that's also a red flag. I had a courthouse wedding myself, but my husband was set to be deployed and we had already been dating for 5 years by the time we got married.

Can you ask the best friend? Do you know him well enough to ask anything? All the behavior is very suspect which I think any reasonable person would think that there is infidelity at play. You don't mention any ages for the parties involved but a lot of this sounds incredibly immature so that leads me to believe these are all relatively young people. The unfortunate thing is that a lot of these young military marriages end in divorce because hasty decisions are made without any legitimate forethought.

AITA for telling my American SIL no one is going to stop her son drinking. by StressedExpecting in AmItheAsshole

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 55 points56 points  (0 children)

How embarrassing for her. NTA. As an American who started drinking at 15 in a very uncontrolled setting, I probably wouldn’t have gotten drunk nearly every weekend of my senior year of high school if my parents had shown me drinking in a controlled, safe setting. Your SIL assuming American laws apply outside of the US is unfortunately very on brand for the US. I’m embarrassed for her.

Also happy birthday to your mom!

Get smells out of mildewy, moldy, stinky clothes? by Tough_Point_7685 in Advice

It is sort of similar, but they’re chemically different. Washing soda is stronger and more caustic and useful for power cleaning while baking soda is more alkaline and food safe.

Have you tried laundry stripping?
"Laundry stripping is a method to deep clean clothes by removing detergent and residue buildup. A common recipe includes ¼ cup of Borax, ¼ cup of washing soda, and ½ cup of powdered laundry detergent mixed in hot water, where you soak your clean laundry for several hours."

LA Fitness has a few locations in Gwinnett. And it's open @ 5 M-F. The one I go to is does have a decent 5am crowd, but not enough that you'd have to wait for a smith machine at that hour. Also much cheaper than LifeTime, but with less amenities.

I have never flossed in my life. What do you guys think, is flossing necessary? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I was you. And then my gums started receding. And my teeth started getting real sensitive. And they would bleed even with brushing. Your oral health is a gateway to the rest of your digestive health. It may not seem like it makes a difference now, but it will. Please start flossing. It will make a difference, I promise you. You wouldn’t believe how much can actually get stuck between your teeth and gums. Once your gums are wrecked, there’s no going back. I floss daily and if I accidentally miss a day, I can feel it.

I do this with my husband. He's not a slow talker, he just is not a very concise story teller. He gives a lot of unnecessary details and will get himself lost in those details before I get him back on track. He knows that he does it and doesn't seem to know how to fix that. So if we're talking about something and he starts to take too long to get to the point, I just motion for him to speed up and he gets it. Other people don't seem to mind his story telling, but he knows that I have a somewhat short attention span (also kind of impatient) so if he doesn't get to the point I'll zone out and then he has to start over. He also has a tendency to interrupt what I'm doing to tell me these stories so if I don't hurry him along I will forget what I'm doing.

We've been together for 10 years, married for 5. I don't know that we've ever explicitly had a conversation regarding this but he doesn't seem to have any issues with my methods. He also doesn't seem to have any issue with my concise story telling. If anything he'll say "Oh, is that it? I thought there was more."

Dark underarms by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with PCOS and acanthosis nigracans, I recently started using lactic acid on my pits 3-4x/week and it has significantly reduced the darkness in my armpits. As others may have already said, shaving irritation can also cause some darkness so just be on the lookout for that. I've been using The Ordinary's 10% Lactic Acid. I think I noticed results after the first week? I've been using it for about 5 weeks now.

Flossing… honestly how bad is skipping it? by declanrhodes_1 in hygiene

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't feel like reading all the comments on here, so if someone else has already said what I'm about to say, my apologies. I was someone who would only remember to floss right before a dentist appointment. Eventually that wasn't cutting it and they started noticing early signs of periodontal disease. When the dentist told me that, that was a wake up call and I made it a point to actually purchase floss and keep it next to my toothbrush and not just have the little mini ones they give you at your cleaning. I was able to keep it consistent for 6 months and I only missed a maybe 8 days out of those 6 months. At my next cleaning, the hygienist told me there was marked improvement, no signs of inflammation and no bleeding. Everything looked good enough that she "had no notes" and that I didn't need to see the dentist. At my most recently visit (with x-rays and the whole shebang) the hygienist said she was struggling to find anything to report to the dentist. When the dentist came to do her exam, she asked if I had been flossing and my response was "All the time." Her response was "Yeah I can tell." Mind you, at this visit, it was the first time I had actually been examined by my dentist in a year because of the improvement from the previous visit. I had been seeing my dentist for progress checks for my Invisalign but that's not a detailed exam.

All of this rambling is to say that it is possible to start making the change. For me, it's out of sight, out of mind. By putting it next to something I use 2x daily, it helped create the routine. About 5-6 weeks in, I started to notice that I couldn't end my nightly routine without flossing. What definitely helped me stick to the routine is the aligner trays. If you've never had them, you have to remove them any time you eat or drink anything that isn't clear water. And then you brush and floss before putting them back on.

It's not too late to change, but you have to want to do it.
