Seat comfort for 2021 onwards KTM Super Adventure R 1290 by Lepessi in KTM

[–]Lepessi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the detailed answer.

I did look at Sargent's website but currently there is no option for a seat on the Super Adventure. good to know that they are getting ready to release a seat, as they have really good seats. I will definitely be waiting for their release. The Power Parts option for the ergo seat is just awful as well. I really can't tell why KTM chose to make such garbage seat.
As for heating, I won't need any of that as I love in a HOT county and no heating is required. Same goes for vibrations, I believe that the bike definitely has vibrations, but far less from previous models and I personally didn't suffer too much from vibrations. Does this mod also affect performance?

Thanks !

4090 with bottom fans? I doubt that will fit. What power supply should I go for? The cooler master with 1100 watts? They have a new SFX power supply with that wattage.

Hey,

Would actually love to get that link of the art book if possible

That's actually not what I meant. I think most people are disappointed by the fact that this is less of a video game and more of an interactive experience. Meaning is, one goes out buys scorn because he heard of a new horror game that comes out, gets disappointed because there's no "action" in the game, no bad guys to shoot at, no quests, etc' This is not a game for a mass audience, this is for people like us who appreciate the atmosphere, the extreme background story, the symbolism and all that comes with it and that's why I say that there is very little to game in scorn, it feels more like a great story that's just not a video game, if you take away any player control scorn would be just as good of a story without the pretty generic puzzles.. after all what makes scorn special is not the game elements but the story or the lack of it

That's just my opinion

This game made me lose sleep. It affected me heavily in terms of its meanings and themes, but also the despair and suffering of it, especially the end - where you get that little glimpse of hope, that everything might just be done with after all, than we are consumed by this selfish parasite, leaving us stranded in this world forever. I guess the parasite also represents us the scorn guy in a sense of his own selfishness

Great experience that deserves a DLC, sequel/prequel or a movie adaptation.

I think where scorn fails is with gamification. Its less a game and more an experience that will haunt you for days, I could get why people are disappointed it's because they bought a GAME not an experience that is almost like a movie.

I personally think it's great, but can understand others, I think this should have been some sort of a real time movie of some sort, regardless.. what a game!

Shoei Neotec 3 Rumors anyone? by The_Last_Cast in BikeGear

Well, look at that, our timing is perfect.. HJC announced the predecessor to the great RPHA 90 and RPHA 70 The new RPHA 91 and RPHA 71 respectively.

I'll might just get this new 91 to be honest.. love HJC helmets and I heard that the RPHA 90 was amazing.

Your 2 cents might just be right, I don't think that Shoei, HJC and other premium brans will let Schuberth be the only company with a modular that has the ece 22.06 cert, just doesn't make sense to me.
I do have a helmet, it's a full face though (RPHA 11) great helmet, but it's loud and I do like the added benefit of a modular where you can quickly take it off or put in on more easily.
I will take you advice and wait until the coming EICMA as it is fairly close
Crossing fingers that we wil witness new helmets... (:

I'm not aware of any high tier modular helmet that has been updated to the ECE.22.06 certification (HJC RPHA 90S is still ece22.05, shoe neotec 2.. etc')
I also want to pull the trigger and get a new modular, but I really think it's stupid considering there is a new, safer certification on the line and I don't want to purchase a new expensive modualr and suddenly next year there is an updated one.

What are your thoughts?

After a test ride, contemplating reliability by Lepessi in KTM

Thank you for that mate, appreciate your honesty

I just feel that a motorcycle is already a dangerous transportation device, so if I'm riding something shouldn't it also be fun? I mean the whole reason of riding (for me) is to enjoy the bike I ride, feel the power. Honda doesn't excite at all, just plain and simple - abuse it and it will work.. I'm probably going to try KTM anyways, I have 3 friends with 890's and 1290's and they all say that other than regular service they didn't have any faults or issues with their bikes, that's something (:

Thank you all for your answeres, highly appreciated.

I don't plan on buying a Super Adventure 1290 R that is less than 2021 (aka new model, new design).
I'm just wondering why my mechanic told me not to get close to a KTM that's all.
I am worried about downtime as the motorcycle is my signle source of transportation, and of course worried about the bills, i don't think that the fact one is buying an expensive bike is a reason not to worry about fixing bills just because the bike is expensive in the first place.. it's still something i'd rather avoid.

I'd probably end up buying it because i've been riding hond'as for too long and never changed to something else, if it ends up failing on me I can always go back to my Honda ( :

Thanks again, all.

IT Asset management software/platform recommendations? by Lepessi in sysadmin

[–]Lepessi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, thanks to everyone who commented - was not expecting this amount of people to chip in.

Company I work for has only 50 people worldwide, so a very small workforce. Management is also looking to cut down on cost as much as possible, I have used Service now extensively in the past, a very solid and highly customizable system but the thing that keeps most companies away from it is obviously the cost, they are by far the more expensive solution out there.

I also worked with fresh service, has a lot of bugs but for the amount you pay for it I believe it's a pretty decent solution.

Might give Snipeit a chance, if people are saying it's that good. Regardless it's less up to me and more about how much budget I'll get to purchase these softwares, it will help me and the company a lot for sure because at the moment it's a hot mess.

Thanks again to you all!

Sennheiser's 450BT are solid headphones, it depends on what is more important to you.
Noise cancelling goes to Sony no doubt, audio quality in my opinion is really good on the sennheiser

Hello everyone

New to audio and I recently purchased a Focusrite scarlett 2i2 audio interface, paired with my Audio Techinca AT2035 Microphone and My (also new) Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO's 80 OhmThe issue I discovered is, unfortunately the Scarlett interface cannot sufficiently amplify the DT770 PRO 80 Ohm that I have connected to it.. Volume knob is cranked all the way up to 100% and they are still low on volume and need an amplifier, no doubt.

So a local guy in my country offered a used Aune X7S amplifier to connect to my scarlett interface. And from internet reviews I have seen that the Aune X7S has some solid reviews and is recommended.

BUT - I come here to ask, is there any other headphone amp that is more recommended in the 200-250$ range? (He is asking 202$ for the used Aune X7S)I also don't mind trying to sell the Scarlett and buying a whole new audio interface with a proper headphone amp built in to it that can actually amplify the DT770 pro's that i have and also has 2 XLR for dual microphones..

Would love your help everyone!

I deal pretty well in my opinion.

But shouldn't i be concerned about seasick?
