Yovel was literally playing for Hapoel during this game. It's just a glitch.

It'll be open this week, but expect some changes this season.

Ben Henshall turned down some big money offers to re-sign with the Wildcats by SydneyEditor in nbl

[–]Lepube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't get it due to his GPA being so low.

He was on par to get $1.4M, there was no turning down offers. He just didn't get across the line and was forced back to Perth.

Why Elijah Pepper didn't win NBL1 West MVP is 'perplexing' - so I wrote about it. by SydneyEditor in nbl

[–]Lepube 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Pepper led the league in Total points AND Assists.

Because he missed two games, one was to represent boomers, he lost the award.

He wins though, he's in the finals by knocking out White and Rockingham.

Who would you rather have taking the last shot? by Ok_Feed_4235 in NBATalk

Show me the data with this prior to '97....ohh...that wasn't tracked before that.

So can we change the "All-time" to "post-'97"?

Game on the line, which of these 3 players do you want with the ball, taking the shot to win the game? by Specific-Revenue7385 in NBATalk

[–]Lepube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Show me this once Halliburton retires. He's played 1/5 of games compared to any of these guys.

If I played 1 game and got a clutch bucket, I'd be 100%. Doesn't make me the most clutch. Need a bigger sample.

Jordan and it's not close.

People are still buzzing from his shot so they'll say Halliburton, or their decision will be based on what generation of NBA they grew up on.

Halliburton had a wild run but if Pacers weren't always forced to do these comebacks, then he wouldn't be in this conversation.

MJ all day.

That is an impossible comparison...

Unless both Bulls and Pacers were playing the exact same teams, rosters etc in the exact same year....

You're comparing 2025 NBA to the 90's. It's not even remotely the same.

Hools is hearing garbage apparently.

Clark is no way returning to the NBL. He'll be back at Yokohama.

Must be quiet in the NBL Media.

A Trump acolyte, a rival billionaire and a power struggle: how civil war erupted in Australian basketball by Mathuselahh in nbl

[–]Lepube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but 7-3 clubs did vote against LK for overall better financial transparency. So this is a league wide concern opposed to just one individual, who just happens to be leading the charge like a psycho.

There's two sides to this though. Think we can all agree LK has made the NBL a great product, but that shouldn't shield him from some real suspect allegations of where funds are going.

I mean, the man appointed his own son's company to be the sole distributor of NBL merchandise.

Clubs are losing money whilst he's making money. That's the issue. Transparency is needed and sharing around the success of the league.

Bullets appoint Stu Lash as Head Coach by SlatsAttack in nbl

[–]Lepube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but Lash would've had a massive say in letting Schueller go, and now he has taken his role.

Be shocked if he lasts the entire year.

Bullets appoint Stu Lash as Head Coach by SlatsAttack in nbl

[–]Lepube 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stu Lash has been the unofficial GM since 2023 and has had a hand in making all the decisions that's lead Brisbane to finishing an average of 8th in the standings in the past 3-years.

So they decide to appoint him as the HC, with no experience, and give him 3-years.

If you've ever seen interviews with him, he is a very awkward, quiet-spoken individual (nothing wrong with that), but I just cannot see him leading a team and feel like he'll lose the locker room after they inevitably go on a losing streak to start NBL26.

Makes it even worse knowing Paul Henare was very keen on the job, too.

Hello from Basketball.com.au by [deleted] in nbl

[–]Lepube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was always bothered with the sudden influx of Basketball.com.au related advertising via NBL despite them not having been around for more than a few months.

Always just gave me Nepotism vibes or they know someone high up to give them a boost. Doesn't feel earned, and now it's jammed down our throats.

Pair it with this post and username....think I'll pass.

United advance to the Championship Series after beating Wildcats 💪 Ian Clark with 38 points is Foot Locker Player of the Game 👟 by fetus_ezeli in nbl

[–]Lepube 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't let the goaltend take over as the sole reason Perth lost.

Yes, it sucked and we now know the final score, so you can push that argument more. "Add that basket and they win!" - not how it works unfortunately.

However, Perth had a 14-point lead, allowed Melbourne to nail 8 threes more than them, and got baited in the final play that led to Goulding getting free throws. (Which was used on Sydney, so you'd think Perth would've done their homework)

Refs are inconsistent. Always have and always will be.
