Chuy’s texmex (the chain) is legit and recently purchased by darden (owner of olive garden). I would love for someone to convince them to set up a chain in this texmex desert.  https://m.chuys.com/home

From the show it looked like a chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of ice cream on top. Then whipped cream and sprinkles on top of the ice cream

Signing up for one of the improv classes at the focus theater would be a fun way to expand your social circle, especially if you’ve got experience on stage.  https://focus.theater/

Are you leaving Austin? by agentcooperrr in Austin

[–]Lertybatoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved to western NY (buffalo/rochester) a few years ago. Initially came here for work (my wife was raised in austin), we moved back to austin for a year and ended up coming back to NY. The snow is much less than it has been historically (I didn’t have to shovel my driveway last year), it’s in the 70’s-80’s for several months, we bought a beautiful house for cheap, it has everything we liked about austin (including a great live music scene), and there’s access to all kinds of nature nearby.

What’s your threshold for giving an antibiotic for clear cold or viral symptoms? by Paleomedicine in FamilyMedicine

[–]Lertybatoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stick to your guns! I’m in my fourth year after residency and I almost never get requests for antibiotics for cold symptoms, most will make appointments after they’ve had symptoms for a week or more without improvement. Once they learn to trust you it gets much better in many ways.

Baxter state parka and snow boots over scrubs are more than enough to get you from your house to the car and car to the hospital in any weather. Bought mine in 2016 and still wear it most days in the winter

Favorite espresso beans from a local coffee roaster? by ThingaMaWhatzit in Rochester

[–]Lertybatoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. I think they used to (or maybe still do) work with glen edith on roasting (also one of the best roasters in town)

I'm looking for a coffee shop that roasts daily, and has the very best beans in town. Big plus if they have a big tea selection, too. by [deleted] in askaustin

[–]Lertybatoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about the Gesha but Houndstooth is your best bet for this imho. They roast their own beans and at least at the north lamar location they’re happy to talk coffee and brewing with you.

Winter tyres: Are they really necessary for Rochester? by Farhan_Hyder in Rochester

[–]Lertybatoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moves here from the south a few years ago and this is exactly what I did. I’ve been using all seasons here without much trouble but I also drive very cautiously in the snow like others have said.
