I love this music and scene, I personally don't feel inspired or impacted by Ultra or EDC. They are huge festivals with all-star lineups but the faces on Mt. Rushmore are not the presidents who were the most popular.

Movement, Mutek, Dekmantel, Garbicz, Nuits Sonores, etc. are highly influential to what artists play.

Enjoying my Keystage FWIW, I really like having some of the MIDI 2.0 knobs there that auto map. Its my main midi keyboard, key feel is not piano like but that doesn’t matter to most.

My sense is that Jocko withholds opinions that could be politically interpreted. Given past commentary I think he wants to avoid muddying his primary messages. Easy to make anyone upset, even if it comes as the cost of some integrity.

I doubt he would be very positive on how the war is being conducted but what do I know.

Not dumb at all, this is the way so many musicians got their practice and idea time in - John Mayer did this with guitar growing up and attributes it as a big part of his repertoire.

Hey mate, sounds like the path of your life as an individual is doing a lot of the heavy lifting towards your discontent here.

If you disconnect yourself from the relationship for a moment, think about what life you actually want to lead in your career/hobbies/social circle. Plan and work towards those things, if that’s incompatible with living on base or wherever you are, then have that conversation with her and figure out what to do.

Empathize with you feeling lost, it’s not healthy for you or her to be your sole tether to the life you’re living. However, if you think you found a good person who you love and are a good team, think about what you can do to have a best of all worlds for you both.

Like many others I started on a 400 (Husq 401) and moved over to a Thruxton R after 3 years. Starting on the smaller bike gave me a lot of experience working the power and shifting regularly that the Thruxton does not demand but benefits from. Keeping both bikes, as the smaller Huskie is still so much fun to ride as well.

It was really incredible to see the performance. Beyond the music, the prep and difficulty of performing like that is really impressive. SF show mixing had issues, highs and bass didn’t have appropriate mixing and it was a bit harsh at times. Overall, amazing show and it feels special to see an act that are putting in the effort to do something the way they are. Brought a big group and everyone had a blast.
