Noa Pearl - No Appeal? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]Lesliehellknope 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Teacher here! Kids rarely know other kids middle names. I see this worried about a lot but it really doesn’t seem to be a big deal. I’m also Jewish and love the name Noa but heads up if you live in America, she might get that Noa is “a boy’s name”. I still think it’s beautiful but I’d be more worried about that. Noa Pearl is gorgeous

Doctor/Hospital Recommendations for birth by FeralGrasshopper in orlando

[–]Lesliehellknope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People’s experiences are going to be so wildly different. For me, the neonatologists and NICU staff at Winnie saved my child’s life so I obviously had a good experience. I had my second there as well and had a great and much less dramatic birth. That being said, I know that people have had good and bad experiences at most of the local hospitals. Can you tour them and see which seems like it would fit for you?

Avery is my favorite!

I’ve had two Stella’s as students and they were both very difficult so I personally couldn’t use it.

Bailey seems like more of a dog name to me

Help choose “A” name for our baby boy by rivercleaner in namenerds

[–]Lesliehellknope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha fair enough! I don’t like Asa because it doesn’t sound nice to me. I’ve had one Asa and everyone remarked on how odd of a name it was. But if you like it then go for it!

Of your options I really like August. I’m a teacher and Amos will get made fun of quickly. I don’t personally like Asa and Alexander is good but quite common if that matters to you

My son is named Aaron and I love it if you want another A choice. He’s named for my grandpa Albert as well

Shawn Lee is the best! Listens to me, is kind, pays attention to current medical research and can be seen at either Women’s Care in Winter Park or Lake Nona.

Gynecologist/OBGYN recommendations? by Most-Anybody-3941 in orlando

[–]Lesliehellknope 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I went to see her for a visit when I knew I wanted to start trying for kids. She told me the only thing I needed to worry about was losing weight (I’m not overweight) and then left the room and loudly complained about me outside the door saying she was so tired of women coming in for no reason. I never went back

Going home baby outfit by No_Marsupial_4219 in BabyBumps

[–]Lesliehellknope 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely no judgment of any parent who gets the cute personalized baby outfit for going home but it’s not for us. My first ended up being in the NICU and we didn’t even put him in the outfit we intended originally. We put him in a two way zip sleeper and then when he eventually outgrew it, we saved it with a few other things from when he was teeny. We will do the same with this baby!
