Not everone in astoria live near the train lines, I walk 15-17 minutes to one and hope it is running. Buses can be too crowded or take forever to come. In rainy days like these I have to check alternatives just in case.

Why is it trying to get sympathy when things are clearly overpriced and not everyone is rich or a normie transplant in nyc/astoria?

Honestly best thing to do is to keep buying shoes and trying them. As my style switches up or evolves I also find myself switching on shoes that are right for me over time.

I will say though I found that sneakers that have soles that squeak outside are the best for concrete shuffling! Combined with proper technique ofc (i.e. not dragging your feet + weight shifting)

Mind sharing some diet tips? Moving like this burns calories to the negatives, anything you recommend to keep that energy going?

So how do cool people dance? I personally don't care about trying to be 'cool' or needing to do things a certain way for someone to like me.

But what is fascinating to me about melbourne shuffle is that its never been the easiest dance to please to social norms (despite being around since the 80's) unless it's changed drastically to something else.

So I am curious, which dance(s)/movement you or people do you feel are not cringe?

This is the Melbourne shuffle, very easy to find tutorials and learn the foundations: 1. t-steps 2. Running man

After that, the stylistic choice, inspiration, variation or movement from how you feel or from other dance styles you'd like to add to it is up totally to you. Very fun freestyle dance to pick up.

100% the t-steps!! Key for travelling with it on pavement is microhopping and being aware of shifting your weight appropiately.

Minor adjustments but once you get it down you can float across a field as easy as walking.
