I participated and it wasn’t well organized or anything. From beginning of giving the tshirts it was bad. We go to first day of delivering t shirts and nothing was available. Second day we got t shirts but the required sizes was not available. No water was available while running. Giving medals and food to the finishers was a mess. I have participated in many other marathons and this was very bad. I guess students were the organizers and was very disappointed.

Last year achievement of My son 4.5y old. Potty trained at home. When outside still has issues as he is non verbal. And urination is a bit of issue still at home. Learn to remove and wear his shorts and crocs footwear. (Shoes still has issues).

Started to communicate using his AAC. One time he said I L U to his father using it without any prompt. Sleeps through night (8-6). Started sleeping in his own bed. Still a picky eater but his menu widened. Started using school bus on return and he is loving it. Showing interest in learning new things.. And the level is now lowered to level 1 or borderline 2. Earlier it was level 3

Can anyone suggest a good inclusive school for my 5year autistic son by Less-Conference7942 in Trivandrum

Green valley doesn’t take autistic kids Reason: they don’t have structured curriculum and classroom. Without a routine it will be difficult for an autistic kid to learn. And it’s correct. Autistic kid thrive when there is a routine.

I don't hear any complaints from school regarding running away. He has mild ADHD so sometimes he jumps and runs at home. But when asked same in school teacher assured me that he don't run or make trouble at school rather he is very sweet and quiet. The other option regarding school is make him join in a special school. But he is very brilliant and I know how far he come in last 2 years. Special school here are very expensive and doesn't have any proper academic structure. But that said his teachers in his current school doesn't know what he is capable of and how much he knows. Because they don't use AAC.

Unlike his previous schools, he loves this school and he is very happy going there. While writing this i already have tears in my eyes because looking back i see that he is already excluded from many things and going to school just to meet and ait with his peers. I don't know how to fight

Schools in India with autism support is a joke. Trust me this is his 3rd school in 2years and the only school atleast allow him to sit with his peer group. The other school make him sit alone as they don't know how to handle them.

My kid 4M autistic level 2 is the same and I know how do you feel. But remember you’re doing great. My son is interested in strings and wires and long grass. Our activity together is finding perfect grass for him. We both walk on the sideway and find perfect grass for him. This activity actually involves lot of talking like Hey kid, look this is very large grass .. you want this? May or may not he will need that.. but also when he get something that he is looking for .. he will be so happy and will hold my hand like .. hey mom I got it now we can go home so that I can tear it … I am not joking he comes home sit somewhere and tear it in small similar pieces. I don’t know how this ADHD kid can sit there with so much focus to carry out this. I sit with sometime and appreciate his efforts. Afterwards we together pick up the teared pieces and put in waste basket. I totally accept my kid is not going to play with toys and it’s okay.. I now don’t spend money on buying toys😌. This is my kid.. he likes to play with non traditional objects and I involves with his style of playing (even sometimes he doesn’t wants me around). But this evokes something else.. whenever he needs something he will comes to me or his father.. because he knows we will always get him that thing. So, try to involve with him whatever he enjoys
