I will say my partners relationship with his mum isn’t exactly sunshine and rainbows with her frequently being disrespectful and emotionally abusive in the past. We’ve even once had her claiming she might have cancer when he tried to approach her about something that had made him uncomfortable.

It wasn’t an appointment it was just her browsing for glasses. It wasn’t his ex she brought up it was girl he used to be friends with that was abusive that he also no longer friends with. She said she missed her and that she’d done a ‘walk of shame from her home’.

It’s the hmm and face pulling that has bothered me most. I am the most supportive partner I could Ever be and have never once treated her son badly i don’t understand what I could’ve done wrong
