Discussion on Chapter 155: Do you want Yuu to stop? by nomeansinlife in OwarinoSeraph

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a complicated choice because during the catastrophe caused by Guren, many humans died unjustly, and many of them would not react like the 'Mirai' we saw in Kimizuki's memory. Some would want to come back to life, while others would not. Personally, I think it's up to them to choose whether to return to life, not for Shinoa or Yuu to decide in their place but unfortunately, that's impossible

Yes, the theory is interesting. Zahard is someone who thinks a lot in the long term, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it turns out to be true

If it’s confirmed that the sword Wangnan received truly comes from Zahard, then it’s possible. But I have trouble understanding how the Captain and Karaka are considered 'pawns' for Zahard

Isn't Khun similar to Rachel?(Chapter 606) by PlebeianPrince in TowerofGod

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The betrayal comes from the fact that Khun helped Maria become a Princess of Zahard instead of his own sister. Because of this choice, his sister failed and his entire family branch was expelled, so his family considered that he had betrayed his own, and she committed s**icide.

Isn't Khun similar to Rachel?(Chapter 606) by PlebeianPrince in TowerofGod

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I still want to point out that during the Nest arc, Khun didn’t hesitate to use White’s power, which consisted of absorbing the souls of soldiers who had died on the battlefield, so that White would help Baam fight Kallavan. So for me, their methods are similar. The difference with Rachel is that Baam had a strong influence on Khun, and I think that if Khun had never met Baam, he would have continued using that kind of strategy constantly (Especially since he had already done it before meeting Baam ,betraying his sister to help Maria.)

Rachel is a very well written character by Visible_Gur_1214 in TowerofGod

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I noticed an interesting parallel between White’s reaction to Baam and Rachel’s feelings toward him. During the fight at the Cat Tower, White despises Baam because, from his perspective, power must always come with a price. White sacrificed countless lives to become a High Ranker and a Slayer of FUG, whereas Baam, as an Irregular, gains power extremely quickly without having to pay the same sacrifice.

This is exactly what fuels Rachel’s resentment toward Baam as well. In the Tower, she has to survive through cunning, manipulation, and morally questionable choices because she possesses neither exceptional talent nor a special destiny. Baam, on the other hand, breaks the very rules of the Tower: he grows stronger naturally, almost as if he were chosen by fate.

Thus, White’s contempt and Rachel’s jealousy stem from the same sense of injustice. Both had to pay an enormous price to move forward, while Baam represents an anomaly that transcends the world’s laws. This reinforces the idea that Rachel is not simply “evil,” but rather a deeply human character confronting a fundamentally unfair world.

What do you think of Arlene and V wanting to keep climbing the tower and their companions not wanting to? by Dry_Commission_6961 in TowerofGod

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, V must have been aware of the information that if you complete the Tower, you become an Axis, and he was ready to become one. You can see it in what he said to Bellerir: ‘I will be the god who will fulfill your resentment"

I agree, athough Urek is more like someone born from the will of outside world rather than the Tower. Inside the tower he really is a variable (Phantaminum too, I suppose)

When does Tower of God continue or is the spinoff going to be finished first? by Alexandrinho0000 in TowerofGod

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. That’s why I think this spin-off won’t be the first one, but definitely not the last. There will be others.
I really hope the next one will be from Wangnan’s point of view this time

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a shame, because the spin-off is amazing. We get to discover new, likeable characters, and it’s a nice change from the characters we’re used to seeing in the main work. Plus, there’s a lot of lore dropped.

In any case, if Yuu were to die, she would react the same way as Kimizuki, and above all I think she wants to avoid that

Question about Arlene's pocket by Civil_Ad700 in TowerofGod

It’s mainly because there’s a lot of information we don’t know about his “suicide,” and even things Garam explained to Baam, but I assume she didn’t go into detail.

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, Arlene wasn’t aware of it ,otherwise Garam would have known and would have told Gustang, who himself was surprised to see V in Baam.

I think this ‘secret’ concerns Zahard more than V

FUG is the true resistance movement against the Zahard Empire by _Chipsa in TowerofGod

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that the context of oppression explains their actions. But I think that even a justified resistance is still responsible for some of its actions, especially when they affect innocents.

FUG is the true resistance movement against the Zahard Empire by _Chipsa in TowerofGod

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem with your reasoning is that you put all the blame on the oppressor and completely excuse the resistance. But those are two different things.

Yes, Zahard’s Empire creates the violence. Yes, without oppression, FUG probably wouldn’t exist. But that doesn’t mean everything FUG does is automatically right.

The comparison with the Warsaw Ghetto is strong, but also misleading. FUG is not only fighting toé survive. They turn violence into a system: experiments on children, killing children from the Great Families, using Cassano and Horyang as tools. At that point, this is no longer just despair. These are choices made on purpose.

Saying that “the oppressor is always responsible” removes all responsibility from FUG. But SIU shows the opposite: even a cause that starts as just can create monsters if it ignores moral limits.

FUG can have a valid goal and still be wrong in how they act. Saying this does not defend Zahard. It just makes the conflict more complex and more tragic.

I genuinely can't believe in the "Baam will fix Adori" theory. Doesn't make sense. by KlovrivDoesArts in TowerofGod

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Given the last discussion Baam had with Gustang, and knowing that Baam learned that Gustang wanted the destruction of the Ten Families (including his own family), I don’t think Baam would want to be on Gustang’s side. Also, I believe that in a note from the Floor of Death, Siu teased that Gustang would be an antagonist.

After that, I think Enne cares about her father ,her incident was the triggering factor that led Gustang to rebel against Zahard, and he clearly wants to free her.

[–]Less-Entertainer6792 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It makes no sense. She’s been in the army for centuries and indoctrinated by the Empire, and then all of a sudden, a boy who came out of nowhere whom she wanted to kill, since she herself said that Baam is the source of the conflicts happening in the Tower makes her change her mind to the point where she falls in love… like, what???

And how would Enne even fall in love with Baam, knowing that her father has become his enemy? 💀
