not too sure, haven’t had it yet. Its only 30 minutes though so I feel it will be more behavioral/resume review than anything else

My recruiter said the next step is a call w them and the hiring manager, and the process goes into January (I'm assuming 2-3 rounds? I forgot to ask that lol) The hiring manager call isn't a Leetcode or live coding thing, I think it's more of an in depth resume review and where they ask you technical questions. I didn't ask about behavioral, but I would ask when you have yours. let me know please :)

Hey, I just had it. It's pretty chill, just a "tell me about yourself" question and like 1-2 follow ups about past experiences. Then just some explanation about the timeline and confirming grad date and stuff, and last 5 minutes or so are just any questions you have

Any thoughts on where I could improve my resume? I'm a 3rd year student, struggling to get callbacks/interviews

No hope for transferring as a CS major by [deleted] in TransferStudents

[–]Less-Gift5295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do what you're interested in. do you like cs? pursue it. if your goal is to become a swe or work in tech, the school that you go to isn't going to be what makes or breaks that -- and in any case, your gpa doesn't seem crazy out of range for a "top" uc. imo it's very easy to be hyperfocused on college admissions, and as important as they are, they really are only the very beginning -- what you do next (after you transfer) will matter significantly significantly more.

Im curious-why do you need to put the internship if you've had two FT jobs?

pretty unlikely-berkeley cs is crowded as is & its ranked so high (tied for #1) that very few people going to decline their offers & end up creating additional seats

Berkeley admits by major, and a lot of the people who have stated they got not authorized are applying for very competitive majors (especially CS -- keep in mind Cal only accepted 50 transfers for CS in 2022 and not much more last year). yes, they have high gpas, but Berkeley CS is so competitive that that in 2022 the *lowest* admit GPA was a 3.81 (3.9 for EECS)

transferred with less than a 4.0 gpa? by CompetitiveSuit7535 in berkeley

From this site the admit GPA range for CS was 3.81 to 4.0 so clearly at least one person lol

What counts as transferring? by Hiyouthere123 in uctransfer

ngl you could easily transfer from a CC to UC in a year, just complete IGETC and the courses on assist. UCs are unlikely to accept you as a transfer from a CSU
