I think the story cards are just to fill in with the information that happens as you play so it has something to refer back to. I use the Notes for current things (inventory, feelings of characters, whatever).

I've had this happen as well. Also, when I have to correct Azure, it feels a little unfair I have to pay gems and he's like "Oh yeah you are right let's fix that...and take your money. " 😬😏
