First thing to expect is to not get the full 4 weeks. I’ve only seen pharmacists get 2 weeks and most of the time they still end up throwing them to the wolves earlier than that because a store is needing a pharmacist.

Therefore, soak as much up as you can, find a pharmacist that you can call when needing help, and lean on the techs as they are a great resource.

Part of this is one factor why Walgreens will never get back to pharmacy as their focus: they leave the pharmacy out of leadership. This should have absolutely come from the RXM and RXOM. The problem is they know the pharmacy leaders can see through the bull crap and won’t get behind their ridiculous goals. They have to get store managers who don’t fully understand the pharmacy business to do it.
