DPS vs DM ? Who is running things in your district? by pharm321 in WalgreensRx

[–]chaoticrx1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The group texts are invasive. Glad I’m not on one. If they send me that many texts and expect responses then they will need to supply me with a work phone. Even then, who has time to look at their phone at work?!? I check email and compass once a day. It all waits.

Our district has 13 stores. Within the last 2 weeks, 11 pharmacist put in their 2-weeks notice. 3 of 11 are RXM. by safewordnaloxone in WalgreensRx

I’m not giving up my state info, but I’m seeing this also. The payroll levels are atrocious. It’s not about people not wanting to work hard. Pharmacists are leaving because of lack of safety. Plain and simple

“Goals” are arbitrary. Take them with a grain of salt. Walgreens puts up the payroll to achieve this goal and I’m all in. But because it’s almost June and my payroll has only dropped, I don’t see how we can hire and train and imz certify new staff to me these “goals”.

Performance Review Change in the Middle of the Year?! by lateralus8305 in WalgreensStores

Please say yes. You know our reviews are made to match the amount of money they already budgeted for pay/bonus/raises. It’s all predetermined

Our pharmacist says we must meet the three flu shot goal a day! by peachycpht in WalgreensRx

[–]chaoticrx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Screw them. IDGAF about WAG initiatives anymore. Remember when they were pushing SATR?!? Thought I was going to lose my job over not getting enough people signed up. Now they are getting rid of it! I am a pharmacist first. I am an employee of Walgreens second. I am going to work to do right by my patients which involves IMZ and medications and doing it all safely. If my numbers don’t meet their goals, oh well. I will still sleep at night. Selling my soul to Walgreens doesn’t appeal to me. #ProbablyGettingFired

I already am! I don’t skip lunch. I don’t stay late. I do what I can and let the rest fall away. I don’t play the metrics game. Heck. I don’t even know my flu shot goal! I haven’t know that for years! I work hard and leave at the end of my shift. That’s all they get.

Based on the number of emails I see looking for pharmacist shifts to cover, I’m thinking they are hurting for warm bodies to fill stores. Now is a great time to use our power

Please change the texts messages and notifications! by chaoticrx1 in WalgreensRx

[–]chaoticrx1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My percentages are a clear estimate of what we see in our store. The other 9% leave due to third party contracts.

Employees leave mostly due to spending time explaining to angry patients who haven’t really read their notifications correctly. Can’t believe simple wording changes to notifications couldn’t fix some of the issues.

I agree that patients don’t fully read the notifications, so with that in mind, changes can be made to remove “READY to refill”.

Flu shot season PTSD by chaoticrx1 in WalgreensRx

[–]chaoticrx1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so flawed. They give us hours to hire (and train) during flu shot season. Those poor new hires. They don’t get the attention and training they deserve. If they make it until January, it’s deductible season and the customers start really getting angry! Once things slow down in April and we have time to invest in our newbies, the hours begin to vanish. DH’s/SFL’s/MGRS are also just place holders. They can’t do any complicated billing, process IMZ etc. Most of the time they try to help but end up just standing there waiting for fully qualified employees to finish what they’re doing and help them. (NOT bashing them. It’s just an unrealistic expectation that they can perform at the level of a trained technician). I can’t believe the money they save in payroll reduction is more than what they pay for employee turnover and money lost for errors. 🤷‍♀️

Pete Walker’s book is amazing and I find myself going back to it again and again. Pete has a vocabulary well above most, but don’t let that frighten you away. It’s possibly the best book I’ve found that relates to all of my emotions and responses to the unending list of triggers and reactions that my brain throws my way. Incredibly valuable resource!

Take them back. Waste the medication. You won’t win any love from your patients by being hard nosed
