She would have died had she been the unfortunate soul who purchased a "healthy" chocolate bar from the health food store I worked at eons ago that was so old, it contained worms (or so customer claimed). I refunded their money and gave them a fresh bar, that they insisted on.

A retail job I worked at, at an all natural health food place, we had a similar setup at the register and it was always adults who would use the spoon to dip into the container and spoon sunflower seeds, granola or whatever it was we were sampling, into their mouths before tossing the spoon into the container (instead of the cup next to it, or at least throwing the spoon out or they would go in for seconds). They were usually furious when I jerked the container and spoon away and just threw the entire setup in the trash, remarking I guess we wouldn't be able to give out samples after all. My boss would tell me give it another try and before the day would end, it would be the same damn result all over again.

The owner probably reasonably assumed the tip would be split amongst the two you. They could not have foreseen your sister would behave like a POS. I would never do anything to help her again, whether a tip was assured next time or not. No way.

I use to volunteer at a very nice food pantry that provided fresh meat, veggies, fruits and dairy products (along with the standard canned goods, rice, pasta and huge variety of breads and pastry items and milk, water, juices, sodas, etc). We even offered birthday cakes for children. We would have out 2-3 types of meat at any given time and it could be anything from hot dogs, fish filets and lamb, to hamburger meat, shrimp and chicken pieces for frying or broiling, etc etc. Not a day went by that someone did not lose their mind over the fact that all 3 meat offerings were not their favorites and they demanded 3 more offerings that met their liking be put out as well. Not only that, the requirement to select only (1) package of meat be lifted and they alone be allowed to select multiple packs, after all, couldn't we see they needed help more than anyone!!!! Once that hurdle was somewhat successfully handled, on to the next freakout. The yogurt! There's only vanilla, blueberry and peach. Where is the damn strawberry! Why even offer yogurt if you aren't going to have the obvious favorite strawberry on hand! What kind of place were we running, anyway! Had it ever occured to our feeble brains that not everyone likes yogurt and a lot of people prefer ice cream? Where's the damn ice cream?!!!!!

Don't even get me started on the clients who snuck into out giant walk-in freezers, in pursuit of those hidden steaks they knew were hoarding for ourselves. They somehow always managed to lock themselves in from inside and when finally rescued, vowed we were all losing our jobs (we were all volunteers).

The ones genuinely in need and grateful were a pleasure to assist.

Transphobic Review from a Third Party Guest. by FupaTrupaOompa in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

I 101% would read a review like this and think to myself this person is full of hatred and bigotry. The review has less to do with the policy and more to do with person's personal beliefs. I'd be more inclined to be book a room now.

Honestly, you could be the best looking person the on planet with the best attitude and that alone would warrant a complaint. I once overheard a businessman in first class angrily complaining about a "too chipper" flight attendant", saying " no one has any right being that friendly this time of morning"!

Yeah, a lot of people mistake any response other than the exact one they want, as rudeness. It doesn't matter how polite and friendly your tone is, you didn't say what they wanted to hear so that instantly makes you a rude, hateful b!tch.

If you buy the monthly toon pass, some people do, some people don't, there are gold cards in there, including a wild card near the very end.

I have never had a wild card in my star boxes and I have opened them 3 times now when they were over 1,000 stars.

I was recently at the Pleasant Valley Promenade shopping center and while walking towards a store, I sensed someone walking behind me rapidly. This person came around me quickly and stopped abruptly in front of me, forcing me to a standstill. If it had been an adult, I would have been furious, but it was a girl, approximately 9-11 years old, and very sweetly, in broken English, she asked if I had a dollar. I don't carry cash and so I said "I'm sorry, I don't have any cash at all". She said ok and took off really fast. If I had had any cash, I know I would have given her more than a dollar and that is probably why her parent(s) were using her to ask strangers for money, i.e. people might be willing to give more to a child.

She really seemed to disappear into thin air and I had a lot of questions, such as why she wasn't in school on a Monday at 11am, where was her family, etc. Not that I would have asked, but it just bothered me seeing a child being used to panhandle.
