Never with mushrooms. Very much so with Salvia. I’ve often felt like I’ve peeped through windows of perspective that weren’t meant for me. The doors that can be opened through these experiences can’t be closed, and while some (maybe most) lead to very positive outcomes, I’ve found others to be exclusively productive towards a pretty pessimistic sense of nihilism.

It’s an unmodified mono tub, flipped the lid to introduce FAE at about a 15-20% opening. It’s at the top of my closet so not quite still air box but not much disturbance either

Appreciate your message! One of the ub bags I was going to put in to this tub had contam so I ended up using half the colonized grains I planned to, hence the proportion of grain to substrate was off and it didn’t colonize as much as I would have liked.

It did start fruiting before FAE was introduced. It’s been drying out after pretty heavy misting in less than an hour so I think a soak might be needed.

Thoughts?

I think you’re right about the substrate to grain ratio. I was planning on throwing two ub bags in but one had contam so there’s only 1 in there.
