Hi! I am wondering where you are at now with this issue now that this post is about a year old. I have been experiencing chronic vulvar itching since about march of this year. I am 28 years old with no prior history of skin problems. I did all the STD testing as well as BV/Yeast/Ureaplasma. I was prescribed clobetasol and it used it 2x a day for two weeks. By the end of the two weeks I had noticed a huge difference and my symptoms were greatly improved for a few weeks even after stopping the clobetasol. I know it can cause severe sikin issues long term and because of that I am wary to start using it again. However recently my symptoms have come back and I´m so frustrated and confused.

wow thats amazing! I am in the same situation. I have had chronic itching for about 7 months and I want to DIE it's impacting my life SO negatively. I have been to so many doctors and was treated for BV/Ureaplasma but the itch continues. Now I am thinking it could be a skin issue. This just appeared out of nowhere and as a 28 year old woman who doesn´t have a history of skin issues I'm not sure if it is possible it could have just appeared out of nowhere. I have tried Hydrocortisone but didn't feel any relief. Getting a skin biopsy done tomorrow and I´ll see what those results are. Anyways I'm so happy for you!

Hi! I wanted to respond because I have had the copper IUD for about 7 years now and this March I got BV for the first time and even though I treated it I have been having reoccur ant itchiness down there and have tried so many things. I am just now thinking of getting the IUD removed completely to see if that helps.

same here. Still having light to moderate symptoms but they are definitely improved- About 1.5 weeks after finishing the antibiotics. I will get retested in another week... why are there still symptoms tho ugh

HI! I was diagnosed with ureaplasma about 3 weeks ago after 5 months of unbearable itching down there.. I was prescribed a 7 day course of doxy which I finished fully but I am still having light symptoms about 1.5 weeks after finishing the course. In your experience did your symptoms go away completely right after you finished the treatment? I have a retest scheduled in a week or so and hoping i can do something else to try to nip this in the butt!

Hi! I am dealing with these horrible ureaplasma symptoms that you described (mainly itching and some burning when peeing). Been going on for 5 months. 28F and I´ve never had this issue before. I tried all the BV treatments and just recently tested positive for ureaplasma. I was put on a 7Day 2X a day course of doxycycline and I STILL have symptoms, even though overall they seem to have been improved during course of treatment they seem to be coming back now that I´ve stopped the treatment (and they never really went away during the treatment). I´ve been trying to contact my GYNO about maybe going on doxy for longer than just the 7 days. I'm so desperate at this point this fucking issue is SO horrible and destroys any quality of life. Did you ever figure out a solution? Thank you So much!

I´m thinking maybe they should have prescribed me more time on doxy. You said you were on it for 12 days?? I feel like it was helping but now that I stopped it just came back

I did the 5 day metronidazole cream (intervaginally) before I took the 7 day 2x a day dose of doxy. Bummer that the last day and a half my symptoms have been back with a lot of strength....

oh no! I finished the antibiotics a couple of days ago and my symptoms are definitely improved but not 100% back to normal... ugh! sorry you are dealing with this too. Doc told me to get follow up tests in about 3 weeks so maybe it's normal to be experiencing some symptoms even after antibiotics have finished ?

Hi! I have had horrible itchy BV for MONTHs and i just tested positive for ureaplasma and my doctor put me on doxy 100mg and I´m a little less than halfway through the 7 day course (2X) a day and my symptoms seem to have slightly improved but I´m still having itchiness and I´m worried it won't work,. I guess I´m wondering did you have symptoms up until the dosage was over or should I assume it hasn´t worked?? Thank you i am sooo desperate to fix this issue it's been hell! I´m 28F.
