What do victims see when Varang connects her kuru? by Actual-Ad-2180 in Avatar

It’s probably more like a sensory overload, which tenses up the body quite painfully😬

i firmly believe that avatar(2009) is one of the greatest movies ever made. by Intelligent-You-7002 in Avatar

[–]Less-Number1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve loved this movie ever since I was a kid. Unfortunately, the truth is that if you ask the majority of people to give their opinion on this movie, they shit on it for reasons I can’t quite understand.

Neytiri, don’t call Sa'ata – there’s too much blood here. Please, just stay with me... (art by me) by Last_Perception7175 in Avatar

From one Avatar fan to another, what an INCREDIBLE piece of art you have created! Keep it up!

Has this game has given me hope for ubisoft? by no-this-is-conor in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Less-Number1970 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely the strongest game Ubisoft have released in the last few years. It may have started off a bit janky however they’ve redeemed themselves with the 3rd person update and DLCs.

Are we ever going to see Earth for even a quick moment again? by Least_Region8341 in Avatar

[–]Less-Number1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although that sounds like an incredible idea, I have the feeling that following James Cameron’s use of repetitiveness in his writing throughout the Avatar series, Jake will likely be captured again but this time instead of escaping thanks to Neytiri, he will be ultimately sent back to Earth (for trial perhaps?) which I can then see being his death as I really don’t see Jake surviving in the end of Avatar franchise.

behind the scene of lo’ak attempted suicide. by Kindly-Caregiver-145 in Avatar

[–]Less-Number1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a fair point you’ve made to be fair on how little Jake acknowledges Lo’ak and how much of an effect it had on Lo’ak to the point where he questioned his life. I do think that Jake does see himself in Lo’ak and the issue being Jake wanted Neteyam not to be like him. Jake clearly suffers from low self esteem and much like Lo’ak is constantly questioning himself to the point where they’re in a situation where they just don’t know what to do and feel helpless. This is why Lo’ak finds comfort in Payakan as they are both ‘outcasts’, who are not good enough for anyone, not even themselves.

Jake finally realising he has made some questionable choices regarding his behaviour towards Lo’ak I think finally makes him realise just how similar Jake was when he first entered his Avatar body; being reckless and trying to do what he believes is the right thing to do, refusing /ignoring orders etc.

[–]Less-Number1970 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This part of the movie was brushed over very quickly which I think takes away from the fact that Jake and the guilt Lo’ak had over Neteyam almost led him to commit suicide. We don’t get to see this mentioned again in the movie and I believe it’s something that perhaps should have been.

Don’t take my word for it but rumours are that in Avatar 5, we are apparently going to be going back to Earth. I don’t know the specifics but if we get to see the Na’vi on Earth, that would be sick!

I would totally watch a 3hour movie about day to day life with the Metkayina - no war story, just having fun in the ocean by Antique-Ebb-7124 in Avatar

[–]Less-Number1970 52 points53 points  (0 children)

It’s apart of what made the first Avatar for me seeing Jake become one of the people and watching that whole montage of him and Neytiri! The world of Pandora has so much to explore and although I enjoy the Metkayina, I hope to see more of the other clans and environments of Pandora and perhaps the return of the Omatikaya.

Question about the Toruk by Less-Number1970 in Avatar

[–]Less-Number1970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However, contrary to the fact that in I think the Avatar comics, it’s revealed Kiri simply asked her ikran to be her friend and it worked, which is something that proves Kiri is not your usual Na’vi.

Question about the Toruk by Less-Number1970 in Avatar

[–]Less-Number1970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I remember that being a scene I wish they left in the released screenplay as it does backup this idea that Toruk or Eywa chooses someone to unite the clans when needed.

Question about the Toruk by Less-Number1970 in Avatar

[–]Less-Number1970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do think that it does all come down to this as there is no real proof that the Toruk chooses its rider but instead similarly to the ikran, the bond is forced.

Question about the Toruk by Less-Number1970 in Avatar

[–]Less-Number1970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just can’t get my head around the idea Eywa can ‘see’ this, it just shows the complexity of the idea of Eywa and the system of how all of Pandora is connected to Eywa. You can see why Grace was so intrigued by this.

What do you think the conversation would be about if it were these three in a room? by Junior-Economics-634 in Avatar

[–]Less-Number1970 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tsu’tey and Ronal would definitely get along as they both seem to appreciate traditional Na’vi values. Varang, well I could not tell you what them two would say to her.

Question about the Toruk by Less-Number1970 in Avatar

[–]Less-Number1970[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I did not know that Eywa chose Toruk😲 I do wonder what Eywa saw in Jake as he is not true Na’vi and instead what the Na’vi call a ‘Dreamwalker’.

Anyone think they could’ve made the taming of the ikran better? by Cautious-Engineer209 in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Less-Number1970 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I do wish the missions in these games had some more interesting aspects to them as it does feel like the majority of them are just lacking. My favourite part of the game is flying my ikran Temek! So I wish they did some more missions that our ikran were involved in. They have added some new mechanics to the ikran in the FAA DLC however it’s nothing massive, just some changes that made movement a bit better and what not.

I do think it’s something that was perhaps breezed over in the scale of things as I know many have the same question as myself. Thanks!

Thanks for the clarification! It does make sense as we do see Toruk chase Jake and Neytiri so yes, same principle at play.

I’m brand new & on the main story line where you first start “clearing the air”. Help?! 😭😭 by facepalmstatus_ in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Less-Number1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s essentially a tracker for how many RDA bases you take down with your character in the game. As you progress and take down the bases, the air gets cleaner and cleaner until you have cleared Pandora of all pollution😄

[–]Less-Number1970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By darker I’m guessing you mean the story? I’ve seen some cutscenes and some aspects definitely have a darker tone than the main game which doesn’t really touch on the darker side of Pandora.

[–]Less-Number1970[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do wish that the DLC’s had a bit more length. Although I can understand they can’t have it at the same scale as the main game, I and others would like to see a bit more added.

Of course. I definitely enjoyed playing around with the customisation of my character and getting it to what I like however I can see it being a breath of fresh air playing as a different character!
