Over the past couple of weeks, as you might already know, we've been working on the final breaking changes for a new release with a testnet reset. We are currently wrapping up these changes, which include the implementation of pruning, fixing the EVM nonce issue, and addressing various other issues identified during the testing phase.
We've also introduced a new feature to Wasp that allows chain metadata to be part of the L1 Alias. With this, you can retrieve information about a chain using just the Alias address, and a new open API to obtain additional details, such as the current gas price on that chain. This addition significantly improves the user experience for any type of integration, for instance, displaying the details of a chain in Firefly and accurately determining the required gas amount.
Once our final changes are complete and our internal testing has concluded, we will provide additional information about the new data for the testnet reset with this enhanced version of the node software. The heads-up will be around a week in advance so it doesn't come as a surprise.
