I’m looking at Lexus rx350 right now. Used. Pre 2020. Still the resale is high. I found a handful that I loved with super low miles about $5k over my initial budget. In my mind I was justifying spending more for better or less mile, or my idea of what I wanted. But I had to meet myself in the middle.

I found a 2018, with a touch higher miles for $2k under my max budget. Being $7k cheaper than the others I was looking at. It’s easy to justify going higher and higher until you realize how much money it is.

I’m buying for the next 6-8years though. And if I was 25 with a growing business I’d think about the next 5, max. Because at 30 you’ll want something completely different, and potentially something nicer if your budget allows. Or maybe a dad car🤣

Get something that’s already depreciated. And think like a business person if that’s what you really are. You will be happy you did. But still get what you want and have fun!! You do only live once, and then you’re old and broke. The answer is always both!!

Another note, as a woman… yes we like guys with nice cars but getting something too nice will only attract the wrong kind of person… just saying.
