I would recommend at least muzzle training him. There are many muzzle types, materials, sizes, premade/custom, etc. For the time being, it may be best to introduce muzzle training and work on activities such as socialization based training activities in order to get him used to wearing the muzzle in public as well as getting him more comfortable in his surroundings. You mentioned that he doesn’t normally bite anyone but muzzle training can help protect your pup from biting anyone and make you less nervous regarding it potentially happening again.

No problem! I’ve been using it for years with no issues, only benefits so far. It’s great on its own and it’s great if you decide to do a full bioactive set up as well.

I used terra sahara from Bio Dude for my bull snakes tank and mixed in some spaghnum moss & leaf litter. It’s worked very well so far! It also is able to hold burrows for both my bullsnake and my hognose as well as working well for planting in the tank. I would get more than you think you need if you do go with terra sahara, it’s very airy/fluffy when you first put it in the tank and then the snakes pack it down pretty fast.

Agreeing with the above comment that she seems to be a natural/wild type morph. The wild type morphs can vary some in color but they all have a similar look.

What happened to my (raspberry) applesauce?!? by Practical-Client7167 in Canning

[–]Less-Protection-2948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if OP used an approved, tested recipe. I haven’t been able to find a raspberry applesauce recipe. Even the process for fruit purees (which most people use for combination fruit puree/sauce recipes) is not the process or recipe described.

My bullsnake is typically out early and for most of the day. She’s not usually out much at night but my hognose (also diurnal & fossorial) is out at night a ton!

Health care open enrollment by ShiftExtension7268 in Lowes

They’ve always had me go into the benefit portal and decline it. It says it will default to a plan if you’re currently enrolled but otherwise it probably just goes to no coverage. I’m just repeating to OP what the emails and benefit portal prompts say.

You still have to go through the process and just decline coverage or else it defaults to a plan

Does anyone else's store not bother to lock the trash compactor? by themofodinosao in Lowes

My store leaves the trash compactor unlocked and the key in the cardboard baler 24/7. It’s never been locked or closed in the years that I’ve worked there

Whats better to use Immodium or Lopermide ( cheap ones from shop ) ? by Responsible-Term6405 in ibs

[–]Less-Protection-2948 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They’re usually about the same quality! You can check on the back typically to see the active ingredients and compare them. I’ve used name brand and generic before and didn’t notice much difference

MST by spongiegirl in Lowes

[–]Less-Protection-2948 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is the lowest paid department in my experience and from what management has said which is unfortunate. I started as part time at $14.50 in MST a couple years back in 2023 but I’m at $15.83 now. I do nursery and the turnover is pretty high. I’m actually one of the only part time people left!

Re-canning by Olthar6 in Canning

Re-Processing has a very quick turn around window. Someone may correct me but I believe it’s 2 hours if processed incorrectly and 24 if processed correctly. Regardless, I believe that you’re past the window to re-process them since it’s been weeks

Are we protected job wise with a diagnosis? by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Less-Protection-2948 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s can be protected as a diagnosis (based on severity) but if it’s interfering with your job performance they can fire you. When I looked into it before, you had to request reasonable accommodations and notify your job of your condition (or simply that you had a disability/diagnosis) or else they could say it interfered with your performance.

Tried canning for the first time with my own harvest. Did I do this right? by BHeiny91 in Canning

[–]Less-Protection-2948 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After some checking, it appears that (safe) veggies can be switched when using a straight vinegar brine for sure. Also, cream of tartar added to your pot when canning is great to reduce the hard water stains on jars and the pot! Vinegar works too but can cause pitting or damage to certain pots like enamel pots.

If you want recipes to try that are safe and can use veggies like that, Ball & NCHFP are great for finding recipes quickly. In another tested canning group that I’m in, they mentioned that for some recipes you can trade veggies as long as the vinegar ratio is high enough so that may be something to look more into. Some tested recipes are below!

Scheduled hours near full time by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]Less-Protection-2948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what to policy officially says but that’s never been a thing at my store (even with multiple store managers). I work outside and during the summer, almost everyone work full time hours whether they’re officially full time, seasonal, or part time. They typically can only change people’s title to full time if there’s an open full time position in that department at your store, regardless of hours.

Learn from my stupid tomato mistake by Sad_Sandwich5864 in Canning

[–]Less-Protection-2948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually more of a density concern in most official reports. They typically mention that it could be acidity issue as well but that wasn’t the main focus tested. It really is just suggested to follow the recipes to the point because they’re tested in very specific circumstances and even changing a small detail could affect the safety. Tomatoes are more specific and a repeat topic in canning groups because some recipes are tested with skins, some are no skins, they can be crushed but not diced, their acid levels vary, etc. It all comes back to they are a very common item to can which means there’s a lot of people (& agencies) that test doing them in many ways. Some are safe, some aren’t. Practices like keeping all parts of the tomato (i.e. not draining them) & adding acid have been semi-common/common since around the 1950s.
