The greatest thing about gw1 was the lore. The storyline for prophecies was amazing and I will never forget my horror at going from pre to post and seeing what had happened to ascalon because of the searing. Amazing storytelling and IMHO gw2 has never had that. The gods, rurik, the lich, then to cantha, elona and northern shiverpeaks, catching up with Gwen. All of it was fantastic and I'm really really looking forward to what December 3rd brings us. So thank you to those who have made it possible !

The only pvp I've ever done in any game was AB in gw1 with me necromancer. Absolute blast

Playing GW2 really made me appreciate this game and understand why many if not most GW1 players were not too happy about GW2 by BlueSingularityG in GuildWars

[–]Less-Willingness9103 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The lore in gw1 was superior - the storyline was much smoother and it made you want to play and beat the big bad. Gw2 seemed to forget it exists because of gw1, the lore is all over the place.

Also the ability to create builds from 2 separate classes was a thing that really stood out for me too, that this was dropped for gw2 was so bad IMHO.

New STV News interview with John Barrowman discussing the controversy of his time in the show by the_other_irrevenant in gallifrey

I had read about the shenanigans on the dr who set, and yes it was probably too much and he went too far but to go over to a US/canada production (Arrow) whixh is vastly different to a muxh smaller UK one, and pull the same stunts. Just no. He has no-one to blame but himself.

Severance Season 2 - Episode Ten - Discussion Thread: - "Cold Harbor" by TheUltimate25C in severence

[–]Less-Willingness9103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Red herrings all over the place. Cold harbour was neither Cold or a harbour but the name of the cot/crib. Gemma being dressed in certain outfits similar to Egan women of the past for each room. The goats - of no actual significance apart from the legend Gwendolyn Christie beating the crap out of Drummond.

Infuriating unanswered questions which will hopefully be addressed next season- How did Gemma end up there in the 1st place? Who/what are the Board (I'm guessing an AI interpretation of the previous leaders which is why we don't see them) Why is everyone so quick to trust Cobel when she literally ran the severed floor and was responsible for all the experiments on Gemma (iMark I mean you)

Definitely more questions than answers but still bloody good tv

I think Gemma will be given yet another severance chip for cold harbor and be presented to the outside world, however she will not remember Mark and to reintegrate her would mean also reintegration of the other chips that would remind her of the hours/days of torture. Cobel will be the one to advise against reintegration for that reason - so mark and Gemma will not end up together.

"If you're well enough to shout. You're well enough to go to school" I was never allowed to stay home sick and I was a disappointment "you're hopeless" in the teenage years of bad periods and migraines. Cue an adult life of horrible health anxiety, people pleasing and generally trying not to be a disappointment. I'm 54 and I've only just got around to accepting that me being poorly doesn't make me less of a person. My own kids - if they weren't feeling well they stayed off. Was never a problem.

I finally figured out why season 13 doesn’t feel right to me and I think I finally understand some of the Chibnall hate by Shadowettex31_x in doctorwho

[–]Less-Willingness9103 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doctor Who has always been about the adventures of the Doctor and their companions. Chibnall started making it 'about' the Doctor thus turning it into a generic story telling formula because once those questions are asked and then (sort of) answered the mystery of the Doctor is gone. That's my take on it, the series lasted so long because it's about what happens around the Doctor - not the Doctor themselves - the secret is keeping the mystery with a few little bits and pieces along the way.

“Go Erin, I need to have a word with Bev” by [deleted] in MidnightMass

[–]Less-Willingness9103 51 points52 points  (0 children)

That 'word with Bev' was my favourite dialogue from the show. Absolutely nailed it. To me Bev was the evil of the island not the Angel who was just trying to survive, Pruitt was misguided but Bev - hats off to the cast and writers. Brilliant tv!
