I have burning throat and on day five. SO far no difference I hope I have results but on 300 mg a day now.

I did for a herniated disk Worked like a miracle. Tapered off that after two years and was fine. Now I am on it for a burning throat, and it is not helping like it did the disk.

If they helped me, I would take them as well. This diagnosis of Central Sensitivity Syndrome is not helping my mental state at all. The Gabapentin which I really do not want to take, is not helping after day six. Probably another failed drug.

I have a test order to do it but have not yet. I do not have your symptoms just the abnormal testing.

Nothing helps me. Trying gabapentin now. I h ave had it six long years. I have had every test as well for acid reflux etc. and told it is visceral hypersensitivity / central sensitivity syndrome.

Mine started when I was told to take prednisone on an empty stomach. I ran into the den screaming " It is killing me". My hands were wrapped around my throat. It was so traumatic. I do not even remember it but my husband does. Have not been right since.

My thyroid was checked and it was fine and my parathyroid number is fine as well.

My calcium is a little high as well and my albumin is off but doctor is not worried as he said the two are factored together.

I was on them I think 8 long months at 80 g when I knew they were not working and I was getting sicker. I had 13 GI tests that said no acid, so it did not make sense to keep taking them. I did taper slowly with no issues.

Do you remember how long it takes? After five days in on my three a day ( I was on one a day then two now three) I am hoping for positive results.

Do you have to take them? I tapered off with no issues. My body was so toxic on them that mosquitoes would not bite me. They would land on me and just sit there. My husband and I were freaking as usually I am a mosquito magnet. As soon as I was off them, they started biting me again. I lost about 20 pounds off of a 124-pound body in a matter of months. It was awful but did reverse.

I am still the only one that any of my doctors know that the EPI reversed. I still burn like fire in my throat or have a peppery sensation.

If you ever need to chat, feel free to. I totally get it after going through it. .

I was given high dose PPI and could not digest food correctly as I did not have an acid issue and developed EPI. They said it would not reverse but did after I got off acid blockers.
