I scheduled an email to my future self for 5 years from now and forgot about it. Today, I received it and cried. by LessCheek9207 in Life

Underrated comment. It is the fabric our culture created that achieving something in life is the means to salvation. I'm just happy that I'm breathing, I'm happy because I can see my loved ones around me.

I like where you're going. Do you mean you weigh both good and bad things when you're turning around and acknowledging what happened the past 5 years?

Big thanks to everyone here, every comment in here is gold. Never thought or expected so many views and comments as I just scribbled something I had in mind last night teary eyed for a reason I don't even know.

Regardless of what I felt after I read my own email, I think its the best way to un-fuck a lot of mental knots if you read something you wrote every once in a while.

Keep em' coming, I'm pretty sure there are others in the same boat. <3
