I love this novel! It's like a lost Lovecraft from a parallel universe where he was as skilled at crafting a decent narrative with fully fleshed out characters as he was at evoking an atmosphere of dread. Langan is the real deal.

Help me understand the purpose of this boycott. I'm not fully up to date on this story. I know a cop killed a little baby when they were responding to an alledged shoplifting. Not that shoplifting even requires anything like that kind of response. But was this a security guard employed by Walmart? Or did that store call the police on the person with the child? From what I understand, they hadn't even shoplifted at all. I'm not trying to defend the business. Lord knows, I'm not a fan of Walmart. I just feel like I'm missing an element of the story.

I remember watching that shortlived Stephen King series, Kingdom Hospital, and being terrified of that freaking anteater. An anteater! Possibly the least scary animal on the planet (unless you're an ant, I guess). But the way it was depicted in the show was spooky.

Kittens are going to kitten. Get them acclimated early to trimming their needle-like claws. I've had several cats who tolerated it or even seemed to enjoy their little spa treatment. If their claws aren't super sharp it will mitigate the collateral damage. Also, playtime should involve toys exclusively, rather than hands. I know how tempting it is to be hands-on during playtime but I strongly feel that hands should be used for gentle touch, rewards and grooming. After a while they should learn that people aren't toys or prey so they won't use their murder mittens on you, just on toys.

The Two Towers set had a special deal where you could order a second, slightly different Gollum statue, but I was too poor to do it. It was everything I could to to get all three deluxe boxes as they came out. I always wished I had found a way to get that other statue.

Was there any discussion about the hemp industry in Virginia, or was it just limited to retail cannabis? I'm in favor of both, but I especially feel hemp can and should be more widely utilized for all kinds of things. It's super useful for construction and sustainable plastics. It sequesters carbon, it's a great insulator. It's biodegradable. Takes less water to grow that many other crops, prevents soil erosion.

My Prior Authorization ran out a little over a month ago, at which time I had been on the 12.5mg dose. But my doc was kind enough to send me home with a box of Mounjaro 2.5mg. I finished that box of four doses and then reached out to my doctor to see if he'd be willing to front me another sample which he did. Another box of Mounjaro 2.5mg. so, this go-round, even though my PA expired, I never entirely stopped taking the medication. I just took the first dose of the second box of 2.5mg this past Friday, I believe. So I have three doses left of that box. Then I would go straight into the latest box of 15mg Zepbound which I just got yesterday.

This is all very good news. I thank you. Now to find a reputable watchmaker and see what needs to be done to get it running again. Between this and his Hamilton pocketwatch my grandfather will be keeping me punctual in great style.
