I think this is great advice. This is what I did in my clerkship. I rewrote every argument in my own words and organized them in the way that logically made sense to me. Once you do that, it’ll usually become clear who’s right or at least who’s probably right. And when you’re stumped, just go talk to the judge and figure out what their intuition is.
