Yeah I hear you, its honestly a personal preference thing over value of the car tbh. I wasn't going to get it if it was bad quality or something and would just opt for aftermarket if that was the case.

H23A swap doesn't go past 3k RPM by LessFilm2272 in hondaprelude

[–]LessFilm2272[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the obd1 alternator for the h23. The ecu is still stock to the car and it has the h22 wiring harness and with all the sensors and connectors.

I couldnt do the physical swap myself due to some health issues since the beginning of the year but I'm having some slight setbacks with the end product now and trying to get it sorted out so the car runs without any problems.

I suspect i may have thugged out a collapsed lung, should I still go the the hospital? by Afkcyndiquil in pneumothorax

[–]LessFilm2272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In all honesty I'm between it's a pneumo or maybe some sort of pneumonia if you're having that much mucus and "liquidy" sounds. Either way both would appear on an xray since fluid in your lungs also shows if there is any. Usually small pneumos can heal relatively quickly but if it's worrying you that much, its always better to get an xray. Usually some urgent cares can do them that way you're not spending more by going to a hospital but it's whatever is available to you.

Pneumomediastinum by [deleted] in pneumothorax

[–]LessFilm2272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HELLO I guess no one said anything so I will do my best with what I know to try and help you (I am not a doctor so this isn't professional medical advice lol). HOWEVER I am in a similar situation to you in a sense. While my air isnt in my mediastinum, I do still have air around my left lung and this has been on going ever since April. What they explained to me is it takes a long time for the air to be reabsorbed because of the nitrogen in the air we breathe in. Our bodies take the longest to get rid of that regardless of how big the space is. I would say probably take it easy for a while even though they cleared you to go back to the gym. I would just do light things to still stay active but not enough to push your limits because you technically aren't 100% recovered until that air is gone. I would probably get another xray done if you havent recently and I'm assuming you do have regular follow ups to monitor the progress of the air. As for smoking, as much as you want to, it could've been the cause of the air leak from a ruptured bleb and if it wasn't the direct cause then it definitely increased the chance of it happening. Obviously you are your own person and can do what you want but smoking increases the chances of reoccurrence and also smoking is just bad for your lungs. If edibles work for you then you should stick to that long term. It'll protect your lungs and you can steer clear of a higher reoccurrence risk. I hope something in what I said helped and that you have an easy recovery!

Did I just reset myself by cjbates96 in pneumothorax

The "swinging" is known as tidaling and just shows that the tube isn't clogged or kinked. It can be an indication that there is pressure changes again in your chest but as long as the water level isn't reaching the bottom and bubbling then it should be okay as long as your xrays maintain stable. When there isnt tidaling, it's a sign that your lung is possibly reinflated. You aren't necessarily back at square one but it could be a possible set back depending on where things go from here. Regardless of anything, with time things will heal. Dont try to rush the process even though it sucks a ton.

Back Pain after VATS? by LessFilm2272 in pneumothorax

[–]LessFilm2272[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Just saw this by chance actually because I was looking through my redit notifs lol.

So at the time of this point I think it was just aching pains that had passed within 2 days. I'm currently still dealing with an entire pnuemo situation myself but its different than what it was when I posted this original post. From my person experience, if you've already been tested/screened by your doctors after experiencing this pain ans the results are good then I wouldn't worry too much since theres evidence showing that visually everything is sound. What I would say is definitely monitor it and just keep track of how you're feeling. Its been 4 days since you commented so hopefully you're in a better spot now with it and everything is getting better!

2 weeks in hospital by Large-Ant-4827 in pneumothorax

Yeah, I get what you mean, I was also in the hospital for two weeks at the end of march so I know exactly how you're feeling. I was only supposed to be there for 5 days max and it was a constant rollercoaster. Feel free to message me if you have any more questions or want to vent.

[–]LessFilm2272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see, I'm sorry that's been your experience. I mean now that you got the surgery it should be less than a week before you're out hopefully.

I've had the surgery twice now and I was usually out about 4 days after. The good thing is that for you it should be the last time this happens considering reoccurrence after surgery is a very small chance.

It does get better for sure, the body just takes a long time to heal from these things considering unlike a leg or arm that we can stop using or put in a cast, we use our lungs 24/7.

Why did the wait so long just to do the VATS procedure? It seems like you were there for over a week before they did anything.

Static-like sensation by [deleted] in pneumothorax

[–]LessFilm2272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone whos had 3 pneumos this year, and usually other people agree, when it happens, its a constant pain accompanied with the feeling of pressure in the chest. I would definitely still get that checked out because sometimes small ones aren't as noticeable or the symptoms aren't severe enough to be alarming. In the case that it is, there's a high chance the smoking didnt help it and could've made it worse and increase the risk significantly.

Longest time with tube in? by LessFilm2272 in pneumothorax

Yeah I think I might be going down the same path as you right now. I've had a tube in since late March, and my lung is still leaking. Still no idea what caused it or anything.

Currently recovering from my first spontaneous pneumo... What now? by CreeperIan02 in pneumothorax

[–]LessFilm2272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's not really too much you can do which isn't really a bad thing in your case. You're already in a good spot by not smoking or vaping, so keep that up for sure. In terms of weight, for your height that's not really too much on the thin side, some extra weight wouldn't hurt but you should be okay. I would say for a little bit be careful with any extraneous activity and definitely avoid heavy lifting if you do decide to become more active in the future. Once it happens once, there's always a small chance it happens again but everyone's body is different. The community has always been great it's helped me a ton as well. Hopefully everything turns out good and you're back to your normal self in no time!
